I drive about 35 minutes to shop at my Byram MS Kroger. They're a good bunch of people, friendly. Good, fresh produce and shrimp department, a very nice selection of cheeses ... Just my favorite store.

I visited the Byram store this week from the Mississippi Gulf Coast as we don’t have Kroger in our area. I shopped the entire store and ended up with a huge order. Every associate I interacted with personally couldn’t have been more helpful! I brought coolers to get meat and Tanya in the meat department was such a blessing. I wanted more packages of lean ground beef and she brought more out; and there wasn’t any of my favorite pork meatballs in the case but she went back to the freezer and brought out all I wanted. She went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed. I wanted an over-the-counter drug item and asked an associate working in those aisles for it and she asked the pharmacy for me and they kept it back there. Bethany in the pharmacy checked me out and told me to be careful going home (even though she had no idea “home” was 160 miles away!). I checked out at a self-checkout register with a belt and McKensie bagged my huge $250 order which saved me so much time and I was so grateful. She told me whenever I was there to look for her and she would always help me if she was there. I left there feeling so good about my experience. I have been going to the Byram store once a year to stock on meat and shop for other items, but because of this experience I will start going twice a year. You can tell this is a well- managed store because the associates are happy, and the store is clean and well-stocked. I’m already looking forward to my next visit here in the Spring!

Ive always valued Kroger over ANY other store. Mostly because of their wide selection range of produce, & meat. I usually visit the Clinton, MS Store. However, I’ve decided to give the Byram store a visit. For the few times I’ve visited & shopped at this store, my liking for Kroger has depleted some. As of 08/17/2024 this is what I’ve came across in the Byram store. I feel like this store needs to be looked into.. all the other stores have a nice selection & is clean & well organized… however this store seems to be lacking. Having OLD MEAT, rotten meat, & meats that have sat in the sun (being returned from customers) placed back onto the shelves without quality control checking, is awful & distasteful! Please do better Byram Kroger!

Everyone is always so friendly but I wish they'd stop rearranging the store & for the love of God put some milk back in the front of the store!
***Update*** Most of the staff is still friendly, lots of new faces. Kroger, unfortunately, has also become yet another store that has later hours but it really doesn't seem like they want you in there. Pallets everywhere, hardly any room to navigate down the aisles. There's no way to get from the vertical aisles down to the cold section without walking to the middle or ends of the store. But the worst thing to me is the way you're treated if you need to run in right at closing time. And that goes double for the gas pump. Don't show up within 15 minutes of closing thinking you're gonna get gas cause you will not depending on who's working.
