I must say that Kroger corporate office needs to put more money into the budget for this location. If I was rating on service I would give them a 5 but because they don't have what they need it's a 2. There's not enough shopping carts and the carts that are there are in rough shape. They're rusted and shaky. They don't have a place to store carts so you have to drag one on from the parking lot. The store fixtures are rough. Most of the shelves are scratch and dent. The floors are old and worn. Keep in mind that there are not a lot of places to grocery shop in Cleveland, MS. No Trader Joe's, no Sprouts, no Wholefoods... Kroger could be the premier place. The team members are all helpful and friendly. I've been to Kroger in other areas of the country where the stores are fabulous but the service is terrible. The corporate office is failing this store!

This Kroger does not even deserve one star. My elderly mother and I were treated very poorly by Ola at the store located at 602 N. Davis Ave, Cleveland, MS 38732. The associate Ola works in the Floral dept. On May 6, 2022 I had ordered my mother a bouquet of flowers for Mother's day. I live out of State. I decided to purchase from Kroger since the local florist was booked with orders and not taking any more. In addition to the Flowers I ordered her sweets and a few other items. I had contacted the store before hand to see if I could simply pay them and the store manager said they were not allowed to accept credit cards over the phone and that I could purchase online which I did. When the order was confirmed I contacted the store and was transferred to the Floral Department. Ola answered. Ola was extremely gruff, very rude and abrasive and she was argumentative. I had only called to check and see if my order was received. Ola told me that the store did not take online orders and did nothing with the online system. She also told me no order was received and that she is the 'only one' who works the Floral department. Her tone with me was loud, aggressive, dismissive, and argumentative. I informed Ola that I had spoken with the store manager who told me I could place my order online and that your online system was set up to take orders for the store. Ola again dismissed my concerns. She was dismissive of the store manager's statement that I could place the order online and once more said it was not possible. I was shocked. After I concluded the call with her I called the store once again and spoke to an associate, an older woman, who explained that the store did allow online orders. My order's pickup time was between 5 and 6 pm that evening. I called my mom and told her of the pickup time. When it was time to pick up the order my mother drove to Kroger to pick up the order. I had also received two phone calls from a young man at the store saying the order was ready. When my mother walked into the store to pickup the order, she was spoken to very rudely and in a hostile manner by Ola. My mother ended up calling me from the store almost in tears. She said she was told the store did not take online orders and no order had been received and when I was speaking to her I could hear Ola in the background stating no order was ever received and that she's the only person who works Floral. It's how Ola sounded as well. She speaks in a very loud, aggressive, rude, argumentative tone. She is quite dismissive and does not fact check anything she says. This frustrated my 71 year old mother considerably. I asked to speak to Ola and Ola was placed on the phone. Ola was once again loud, rude, dismissive and argumentative telling me no one received an order and that an order was never placed at the store. Even when I told Ola that an order was placed and a young man from the store had called to confirm it was ready, she continued to dismiss this and say no order was ever placed. She was so loud and so hostile I had to tell her that my mother was 71 and to calm down and be more respectful. I told her she sounded like she had an attitude and she shouted she 'didn't have NO ATTITUDE!'. At that point I asked to speak back with my mother who asked me to reverse call the number that had called me from the store which I did. With relief I was able to reach the young man who had called. I asked him to take my mother the order at the Floral department. By that time the older woman I had spoken to earlier was also assisting. Ola did not apologize for being wrong and she was continuously wrong. My mother said she went back to doing what she was doing as if nothing had happened. This is wrong. And super weird that Kroger would have an agent so aggressive, hostile, dismissive, argumentative and rude working with Customers. Ola was abusive. Ola's abusive behavior completely ruined what should have been a happy occasion for my recently widowed mother. Ola's treatment made it less so. This is horrib

First visit: broken AC, gnats in produce, meat looked stale. Never have I seen a Kroger in such a miserable condition. Is it because they don't care about their stores in poorer areas? Walmart has fresher looking everything, and that's sad.

The Deli: A lot of people forget that there is a nice Deli in here. It's very popular too especially for lunch. It is busy on the days they have Catfish. They do have several tables and chairs to dine in too. They also have sweet tea. You can get a plate lunch that includes a meat and two vegetables. I wanted baked beans and mashed potatoes and gravy but they were out of it. So I got mixed vegetables and green beans. I didn't like neither one. But the Catfish was delicious. The deli is located inside Kroger to the left up front. History: This Kroger was built in the mid 80's along with this deli. At that time it was popular and was the innovation of its time. The pharmacy: The pharmacy has always been great. You can ask them for help with over the counter Meds and products and they will be glad to come out from behind the counter to give you one on one personal customer service. The grocery store: The meat department has the best meats in town. I usually watch their advertising for sales on steaks and etc. You can save a lot of money. For example, the regular price for their top sirloin is $8.99 a pound. However, during their sale a couple weeks ago I got them for $5.99 a pound. Sales adds usually last about a week and ending dates usually fall on Tuesdays.
