Cashiers here take their jobs way too seriously. The Mississippi id app exists for the sole purpose of not carrying or having the hassle of keeping up with a physical id/ drivers license. Why marathon stores feels that they cannot accept a verified digital copy of your license/ id card in 2024 is....ehh just tell me you're from Mississippi without telling me you're from Mississippi.

UPDATE! THE CAR REPAIR SHOP IS NOW PERMANENTLY CLOSED!!! Mr. Obie has become of age & has closed down his business, the gas store side of the building is still open & may have been sold. However, when the shop was open it was one of the best shops in the area & i have been using them for years, sadly, many long time customers that Mr. Obie has will now have to find another shop.

Had some trouble on the highway with my front wheelbearing found Obie's thanks to my brother ,he found this mechanic shop.A God sent, they got us in and out with in a half hour, You need a mechanic this is where you need to GO!!!!!

Jan. 2022: Can’t say enough about the friendliness of the staff and help at Obie’s Chevron. While traveling on I20, we had a flat on our new Audi (it has no spare tire). We had roadside assistance bring the car to Obie’s because they said they could work on a 22” rim. These guys agreed to wait past their closing time to help us, which for traveling motorists, was music to our ears.When we got there, there were three guys waiting to help, but the tire was not repairable. They offered to store our car inside their shop overnight and Paul offered to drive us to a hotel on his way home. We took him up on his gracious offer. We were appreciative of their willingness to wait for us and to help.The next day Audi roadside assistance came and picked up the car and brought it to Jackson Audi where the tire was available.When traveling, you sometimes wonder who will be there for you and/or your family. These days, it’s hard to answer that question until you’re forced to. If you ever break down on I20 I hope you’re near these guys! They’re great!!Final lesson: maybe all Audis need a spare! ?

My family is from central Louisiana. One of my sons attends college in Clinton. When he had tire problems I called Amanda at Obie’s, and discussed resolution options. Amanda and Paul have now been able to get my son back on the road after two tire issues, both times with professional and courteous service, all while I did not have to leave home. It is uncommon to find service providers who actually care and who actually go the extra mile to assure that things are taken care of, done right, and all at a more than fair price.
