Bought a living room set from big lots. None of the recliner’s work like they are supposed too. Some of the most uncomfortable furniture I have ever set on.

Bought recliner from big lots and arm not even stapled together, missed by bout 1 4th inch. Leans to one side and springs pop. I would not buy any more of this brand ever again. It's heartbreaking to work hard and get ripped off.

Bought a recliner at big lots. worked fine for a few months. suddenly the back started slanting and the arm to raise the foot rest stopped working. The back is slanting because a screw wallowed out the particle board on one side of the back. The arm doesn't work because a spring is gone. I don't have the spring and can't contact customer service to get one. The chair fabric cushions and most of the recliner seem to be in good shape so I don't want to throw it out knowing it can be fixed. I hate their building burned but I am hoping once customer service returns I can get the spring I need. At least find out what kind of spring I need.

Terrible swivel recliner. Purchased at Big Lots. It is leaning to the right side , it’s as if the arm wants to come off. There is good cushion, which is the only upside. But With the constant leaning , I’m sure it will break soon. Only had it since May 2020. It’s junk. Company doesn’t respond to emails or calls.Run! Shotty furniture.

We bought the 1400 homespun "platinum" sectional created by this manufacturer. The seat cushions started sinking in within 6 weeks of ownership. They wouldn't cover fixing them even though the the couch was under warranty. Evidently only the "frame" is covered.I would definitely suggest going elsewhere if you see any couches sold by them. Look nice on the outside but the quality is lacking!

Got a snazzy electric recliner and it began falling apart almost immediately. Flipped it upside down and hardware is all loose, metal spacers are shearing off and some screws were not even fixed to the frame at the factory. Mismatched screws. I would love to upload a pic of the underside of the chair. Workmanship no pride whatsoever. I paid over 500 clearance. Comfortable but can't let my elderly mom use it because it jams up. Customer service...workers in Mississippi ain't even working until may 1. They left us hanging.

We were picking up load from warehouse in Sherman Mississippi, and gentlemen name Robby Watson was awesome!!!! I would like to tell him and his team thank you so so much !!! They load us before the appointment time , then there was some staff was missing and they add that and finish with paperwork within 15 min. Robby thank you again for understanding and respecting the truck drivers and then time. Hope see you again.

not even worth the one star. our sectional is structurally incompetent. fell apart after about 9mos of use (under normal conditions). we've had to fix it three times since buying it. complete and utter nightmare. buyers beware: do not buy from AFM!!!!!!!

Falling apart after only 2 years of normal use. Arm falling off, springs poking out. I will NEVER purchase from this company again. I hope you read these reviews and heed the warnings.I would not have given one star if I could've given less.

A Warning!! This Review is Strictly About the Delivery - My furniture was left in boxes in the lobby which was very tacky! I was surprised to say the least that the delivery guys didn't at least bring the furniture to my door. I was at home to receive it. I had to get the janitor to get a dolly to bring the boxes up to my apartment which was nice of him. This I felt was not his job!

Worst recliners I ever purchased, glad I bought the warranty had to use it twice in first year but now the chair falling apart horribly put together have the staples missed there target the cheap pressed board they use with poor nailing doesn’t make for this lasting more then 6 months. Tired contacting them directly cause big lots want me to shampoo and vacuum before returning it for the warranty claim ???Dog hair on the arm rest and sides have nothing to do with the wood falling apart or cheap Material tearing and falling apart

Hate your rocker recliners bought two of them in February 2018 at Big Lots. Falling apart, we also bought a couch which has been great. We didn't get the warranty on the two recliners but did on the couch. I will never suggest for any family member or friends to buy furniture there. 0 stars on recliners, 4 stars on couch. Thank you,Ama Lovins

Funny how some truck driver's don't realize they had a big fire in part of the plant in January 2018 and then expect to be loaded quickly. As to the quality of their product, no, they are not the best quality. Most of the furniture is sent to Big Lots and wholesale (cheap) furniture stores. You get what you pay for. Most high quality furniture is made in NC, NOT MS. American Furniture is less expensive for a reason.

I needed a return spring for an American Furniture recliner we bought a few years ago. After reading the reviews, I was reluctant to call them..but I did. Parts never picked up the phone, nor did sales. I called back a third time and got an operator. She was informative but abrupt, approaching curt. She told me immediately to contact the store from where I bought it and have them submit a purchase order. No-that is silly. I contacted Recliner-Handles and had a spring on its way in 3 minutes! Recliner-handles representative gets 10 stars!! I sent a picture of the spring next to a tape measure and POW! the foot rest will stay retracted in no time. The spring even has insulators on the hooks.Update: giving them 2 stars now because their products are touted as inexpensive, they are supposed to be inferior. Strange American furniture has had so many building fires. I’m sure the employees are miserable working there because the company culture is draconian. They are probably under the old “ your lucky you have a job “ BS.

Purchased a $465 power recliner for my 88 year old father from this company and through Wayfair. It's over the one year warranty period and the chair is in good shape, with the BIG exception of the lower wood frame snapped off in one corner due to cheap wood with knots in it, which is where it snapped. So now I have a good chair, fully functioning but NOT, due to this one piece snapping off because this company obviously uses the cheapest of material(s). My dad weighed 175 pounds and he was the only one to ever use this chair. Wayfair will do nothing and neither will American Furniture. So off it goes to the curb for the next trash pickup. Unreal. Don't waste your hard earned $$$. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, as they build junk and could careless about their reputation nor lack of customer service. I'll be posting a similar review on Wayfair in hopes of deterring people from buying any products from American Furniture.
