I used Banfield and their wellness plan for 3 years without issue. I went in recently and wait times have exploded from less than an hour, to multiple hours. When I asked when I could pick my dog up, they responded "we close at 6, so before then." It was 1PM at the time. This was my second visit where the clinic looked disorganized and out of sorts, so I told them to give me my dog back. When they brought her out her slide leash was on "upside down" so it wouldn't release. It was choking my dog bc it was put on by one of these "professionals." When I decided to cancel my membership I was informed it would cost $235 bc I had already used benefits worth more than my premiums, and still owed $235 worth of premiums. They then proceeded to give me the vet equivalent of a hospital invoice with $95 toilet paper on it. I used almost $800 worth of services on one routine check-up. Yeah. I paid to cancel, then found out before they take a dime or close a membership, you are to speak to a "cares team." I was afforded no such opportunity. So, I called said cares team and threw a fit. Then Theresa, the manager from Flowood, called me and apologized profusely. Theresa told me she would "do everything possible to get me a refund, but it wasn't her call" I called the cares team back, and guess what, it was absolutely Theresa's call. After that was all settled, she called back and offered me half. That's not "everything she can do to get me a refund" it's half a refund, so it's half what she could do. Theresa is a liar, and decided to be petty over $117.00. I'll never use this clinic again, and I'd advise you to take your pet to a clinic that cares, and isn't staffed with lazy (we close at 6, so before then), incompetent (slide leash) liars (Theresa). This was my Banfield experience. I would have withheld this review had Theresa kept her word.
