The customer service rep in the store was nice and helpful, even at the last minute when I was having issues with my credit card.
I didn't have any problems with the process or any extra charges. The cost was reasonable and expectations were fair.
The only thing that I would change is I would not get the standard car again. It was a nissan sentra and I thought it was going to be a larger car. That could have been my mistake but I can't blame them for that.

Picking up my rental on Monday morning the week of Thanksgiving could not have gone smoother. The staff members were prompt and friendly, the vehicle was clean and appropriate for what I’d requested. The process was smooth and straightforward, despite it being mildly busy. The office was clean and tidy. This Hertz location most definitely earned 5 stars today 😊

Do NOT use Hertz. I was charged for damages that were present at pickup. The vehicle was not inspected until after I left and I was charged for the damage.

Rent from Hertz if you want to be charged a $400 smoking fee, even if you've never smoked before.
My car was dirty, had no gas, and seemed poorly maintained. Don't bother trying to contact someone with Hertz, either. It's impossible.
Do yourself a favor, Enterprise is just down the street.

Does not deserve 1 star.
What a trip home this turned out to be. My wife and I were returning to East Texas from a getaway with friends in Biloxi when she suddenly had to be hospitalized and undergo emergency surgery at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.
Two days before her expected release, I reserved a Tahoe (or similar) through Hertz at their Lakeside location. I chose Hertz because they claim to be #1, and with a six-hour drive ahead of us, I didn’t want to cut corners. They even offered an upgrade to a Suburban for $17 more — I accepted, thinking it was a good sign.
The next morning, I got a text and a call saying there was no availability — not for a Tahoe, Suburban, or anything close. They told me to try the airport location. After several unanswered calls, I went online, prepaid a reservation for a Suburban at the airport, and hoped for the best.
On the morning of my wife’s release — after 10 days in the hospital and major surgery — Hertz cancelled again, claiming no availability. Their customer care line found what they said was a Suburban at the Lakeside location, so I Ubered over immediately. But once again, I was told there were no vehicles available and that they “never let those vehicles out for one-way rentals.”
I went to the airport to cancel in person, only to find that neither reservation had been cancelled — and they said I’d be charged $200 in cancellation fees. I stopped payment on my card and walked over to Avis. Within minutes, Avis had me in a clean, comfortable Chrysler Pacifica ready to take my wife home safely.
Avis definitely tries harder, and they’re #1 in my book. I’ll never trust Hertz again — and I hope this helps someone else avoid the stress they put us through.

I would give them zero stars if possible. Stay away from this place. For the first time, I was denied a car as a Gold Hertz member, despite having a prior reservation.
They don't pick up the phone. When I arrived, they said nothing was available.

Staff is helpful and friendly, just make sure to keep copies of everything, ask lots of questions and remember that Florida has toll roads and add that to your rental..

Extremely rude service. I don't know about other hertz but I know I will never return here for service again. Not to mention almost impossible to access.

I received a text after my reservation time stating they did not have a vehicle. I was told that since they aren’t in office over the weekend, people “book the same cars over and over again.” Not the rep’s fault, but what a horrible system! (Enter Seinfeld bit re: reservations here.) No apologies, no attempts to see what they could help me with, so I had to uber to another company. I had to call a number to REQUEST a refund, which took over an hour. Why they wouldn’t instant issue one when they canceled my reservation AFTER my pickup time is beyond me. I’ll steer everyone I know away from this company.

I had a prepaid reservation through Priceline and when I showed up at Hertz, they had no cars available and told me they were not responsible and I’d have to seek resolution through Priceline. I won’t deal with either company again.

Booked a car with Hertz a few days in advance, and when I show up, they had cancelled my reservation and had no cars. They said they attempted to call me when I was at work, but sent no notifications via email or text (the contact methods they had used to send me multiple confirmations of my booking). Don’t allow people to book when you don’t have anything to give them.
