I heard that there was an award for best poboy on the coast and it was between Torantos and another place. I thought if it was that good Id give it a try. I called and ordered a soft shell crab poboy. They had the order ready sitting on a rack when I arrived, no keeping it hot for the customers in a heat bag or nothing. Anyways, when I get home I take it out and look at it. It wasnt nowhere near a soft shell crab poboy. It was an over cooked, over salted, crab pattie dressed sloppy in mushy bread!! Now, I heard their crawfish is amazing and that may be so. The cashier was nice and the price was decent. But I very strongly do not reccomend their poboys. Wont be coming back again.

We recently discovered this AMAZING GEM of a restaurant when we went out to get something to eat and all the "Cruisers" with their Antique cars here in Gulfport were all up and down Beach Boulevard for over ten miles with tons of traffic and all restaurants packed. After an hour of going nowhere we got on I 610 to get away from all this traffic. After an hour we found this awesome place and we were immediately welcomed to a nice booth by Christy nicknamed Cricket. She said we would be in love w her restaurant by the end of the meal and sure enough we are/were. We were starving and both ordered Ribeye steak dinners, came with a BIG salad, potato choice and 2 homemade dinner biscuits. I will honestly say I have been in the F& B business for over 30 years and I am quite critical. I don't complain, I just tick off in my head the negatives. This place was the best I have ever been to EVER at age 54, besides the ultra expensive 5* Bern's Steakhouse in Tampa. Steaks were cooked to perfection for both of us, and we are, as I said, picky as hell! Salad was delicious and huge with shredded cheese too, which I LOVE...Potatoes excellent as well, homemade biscuits superb! Now the service was AMAZING, everything came out fast, and dirty plates were cleaned away immediately, they all work as a team there. Kricket was beyond efficient. I use a walker and she even stored it for me, then when done, she retrieved it for us immediately!!! The steaks we had were $14.99 each and I made THREE meals outta that, and I am not a tiny girl, am 5'4" and we were both so hungry from all of the traffic and frustration! I recommend this restaurant completely and they have lots of seafood as well, all fresh. So we will now be back once a week! Please check it out!!!!!!

Can't say enough great things about this place. We go frequently since it's right down the road but the food and service is top notch. Crawfish are well seasoned but too much that they are overbearing. I prefer the po boys and steaks though. Prices are a little high but you get what you pay for. Quality foot and service deserves high prices. Worth the trip to Woolmarket!!!

Won't belabor what everyone else has said. Place is legit and has heart. PROS: Delicious fried catfish with a light breading Fried shrimp were good but not excellent Crab cake was a good size and flavorful Fried crawfish turned out to be delicious and accompanying sauce was a nice touch Boiled shrimp were delicious, seasoned well but a bit over cooked CONS: Bread pudding was decent but nothing to write home about Little less time on the boiled shrimp BOTTOMLINE: Good value, great staff, and a menu that doesn't pretend to be anything more than what it is: a seafood shack with no frills that will care for ya and fill your belly

The wife thinks we should buy a winter home in the area. That being the case, I told her I'd start trying some of the local food. I had the fried catfish platter, dozen oysters on the half shell and sweetened tea. Could not have been better. We'll be back.

Best crawfish on the Coast! One thing we've noticed since we've been frequenting this place the last 3yrs is the staff is always in the best mood. I'm not positive on how many customers they seat daily but there's always a full house inside and we NEVER see a frown or receive any attitude from any of the staff. The servers all stop by occasionally to ask if we need anything or just to ask how things are. If you happen to go during crawfish season, expect to wait, but I assure you, the wait is worth it!!! The catfish basket is delicious as well.

So glad we found this spot while passing through Biloxi. The oysters on the Po-Boy were super fresh and perfectly cooked. We like the swamp fries, which were coated in a crawfish bisque and the catfish was also perfectly fried. My dad said his bbq sandwich wasn't good, but I won't fault this place given their focus is on seafood.

My dining companion and I came here after a friend recommended it. Usually we would drive all the way to New Orleans for good crawfish, but so happy to discover a local place nearby. There are plenty of tables but it does get crowded around dinner time. They have a pretty extensive menu but we came here just for the crawfish! We got the crawfish boil platter which came with 3 pounds of crawfish, a few potatoes and corn. The crawfish were so flavorful with a little spicy kick. The potatoes were cooked perfectly with a nice chewy texture. The corn was just corn. Overall, I had a great dining experience here. The crawfish definitely get all 5 stars from me. On top of that, the service was phenomenal as well. Our waitress was so helpful and quick. Highly recommend!

We have eaten at Taranto's in Woolmarket three times since moving to the area. Thus far, they have provided the best-fried catfish of any restaurant that we have eaten, which are many. They cook the catfish to the perfect level, where so many overcook. The staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I recommended Taranto's to an associate, and he responded that the food was excellent and he would be returning.

Every time I've gone, the lines have been out the door. There's a reason for that, the food is delicious and they are kind.

Some of the best crawfish I've ever had!! Service was quick and very attentive to needs. I've had tons of crawfish in my life and these were divine! I'm from a family that's been in the seafood industry my entire life. (South Louisiana Cajun Girl)

Just had lunch here for the first time. Started with a cup of the gumbo, and the swamp fries. They were awesome! I had the 12" crawfish PO-boy....go with the 6" of you aren't that hungry. It was delicious!! Just a lot of food. We got there at 1055, and they were to open at 1100. There were already 4 tables seated, and the parking lot was full already. So get there early. The place was busy, and it shows how good the food is. Staff was very attentive and polite. Kitchen was pumping iu the food quickly. We will definitely eat lunch here in the future! Keep up the great work!
