What a joke of a car rental company! Never I repeat NEVER rent a car from this place!I made a reservation online thinking I’m renting from Ace company not “Nifty”. Arrived at the airport thinking that’s where I’m supposed to be picking up my car.. wrong! You have to drive to Hwy 49. Picked up my first car. Only to find that the car tags where expired for months! Car itself was dirty and you can tell not serviced, with dings and dents and scratches. I had to leave work to return this car back just for them to give me a car that hardly drove.. it was swaying all over the road, pretty much no breaks and no power whatsoever! I called back immediately. Turned back around and took it back. Got a different vehicle that was not better but at this point they didn’t have anything else left due to being a weekend. I couldn’t wait to take this car back! Knowing that I’m paying to drive this nasty and with mechanical problems car!!! Monday couldn’t come fast enough!After returning the car on Monday morning I was promised 416.4$ to be credited back to my account. 2 weeks go by and I no refund. Not even pending. I read other reviews to find out that that’s kind of a norm for them to just not return you’re money or you would have to call them repeatedly to get you’re money. Keith was the guy who took care of all of my paperwork from start to finish. After trying multiple times to reach him I left a voicemail saying I’m not going to be chasing my money and I’ve already disputed the charges with my bank, I was lucky to catch him on one of numbers after that voicemail . Which both numbers routed to him. I dropped my car off on Feb 27th and at this point we are at march 13th. He assured me he processed the payment with promise to send me RRN numbers via text. Which I never received. Gave him a day to send me that info. Nothing. Called multiple times. No answer. I’m angry at this point. Called Ace Cust service. Spoke with very nice lady and explained to her what I’ve been dealing with. She called Keith herself. She said he processed refund on the 13th for 372$. He charged me for an extra day even though I brought it at the same time I picked up the car. ?♀️ i proceeded to tell the lady that I’m not paying nothing extra and I was promised 416.4$ and I have a proof of him writing it down on a receipt. She said it was something I would have to discuss with Keith. He told her he was going to call me back. Which he did. And the conversation went nowhere. At this point I’m disputing the whole charge! What a terrible experience! Keith hang up the phone on me after I said I was disputing the charges. First of all You should provide drivable safe cars and have the tags up to date!Don’t do business with them! And if I was Ace I would take my name off this horrible place! It only brings their name down.

Great customer service and went the extra mile to make my trip to Gulfport great. I will definitely rent from Nifty (Ace) company for my transportation needs in future visits

Nifty car rental at 8362 US 49 in Gulfport, MS is a local rental car company. I rented through Hotwire which listed them as Ace rent-a-car. Since they are associated with ACE rent-a-car, this gives them a national designation, but they are not a national company. They make customers sign an agreement that if your rental car breaks down out of state, it’s your responsibility, at your own cost, to return the vehicle to their location. I didn’t know this until I was picking up the car. I didn’t have time to go with another company at that point. All of the rental car paperwork is done with hard copies (nothing is electronic), which means they keep all paperwork on file in a cabinet at their location, to include your credit card info (red flag). It takes them 10 business days to return your deposit. The manager was nice, but her assistant, Keith, who handles the cars was very unprofessional. I will not be renting from here again.The Kia car that I rented had the tire pressure light on when I checked the car during pickup. Note: they don’t give you a form annotating the car’s condition, instead Keith (their employee) takes a video of him doing the walkthrough of the car with you (another red flag). I recorded my own video as well. Keith said the tire pressure monitoring system on the car was not working properly because they had recently changed a wheel and tire on this car. We asked him to check the tire pressure, which he did, but he wouldn’t let us see the tire pressure gauge and said “all the tires are at 35 psi.” I asked for another car because I had a long road trip ahead (16 hours roundtrip) and didn’t feel comfortable taking that car. Keith was very dismissive and said they didn’t have any other cars. His demeanor and behavior led me to doubt his integrity but took the car anyway because I was out of time at that point and I could fix the tire pressure issue myself. When I got home, I checked the tire pressure on all the tires and noticed 3 tires were below 30 psi and there was one tire with a 40 psi! Recommended psi was 33 for this car and that tire could have exploded on the highway. I adjusted the tire pressure on all the tires and the tire pressure warning light on the dashboard turned off. I left for my road trip and had no issues with the car after that. I told the manager what happened when I returned the vehicle and the safety concern associated with Keith’s poor behavior.

Worst rental company ever. Over charged me for mileage and I was authorize unlimited miles. Vehicle tag was expired worst establishment ever. I don't think they deserve a star.

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!!! This company is fraudulent they will not give you your deposit back even though they gave me a receipt saying they would. You’ll have to contact your lawyer.

Do NOT use this place!!!!! We were given a car that had multiple issues...the car shook really bad while idling and while driving, the tire light was on, and when we turned the steering wheel the tires would skid as if the car had been wrecked before and it was filthy. We had to return the car to swap for another. I was told my credit card would be charged a security deposit of $150 that I would receive when the vehicle was returned. We returned the vehicle on Dec 31st and still haven't received our $150 security deposit back. I have called and left messages...no one returns the call. I've called customer service with Ace Rental since they are the parent company so I could get assistance with reaching someone in the office at Nifty. I spoke with the guy twice and he said he would return my call but never did. He also assured me the refund of the $150 would be in my account within 7-10 business days but that didn't happen either. As of today it has been 12 business days and no refund. I will try reaching someone at the Corporate Office tomorrow.

I was very skeptical of this place because of the reviews. However, I had an incredible experience. The cars aren’t new or anything fancy, but they’re good vehicles and get you to where you need to go. The staff was beyond helpful and getting picked up/dropped off at the airport was no issue.

I booked the rental through expedia, the car was old and there was dings and nicks all over the car. The seat belt would get jammed and the steering on the car was not right. I was not satified with the rental so I returned the next day. The lady that helped was Michelle and she was super nice and understanding. I think they need to update and replace the cars there. We are having difficulty geting the money refunded after returning the rental.

Very unprofessional and does not return the deposit in a timely manner. I literally had to keep calling for my deposit to be returned and the clerk had the nerve to tell me that it's in a stack with multiple people refunds that had to be processed....and it took for me to want another rental from them to even process my first refund that I just applied it to the payment for the second rental now I'm awaiting the 10th business day for my deposit to be refunded......I will not be going back

Solid experience! The process was streamlined quick and very helpful! Keith both met me at the airport for pick up and then did the same upon rental car return. Hospitality was excellent. Car had some flaws but was annotated before I left, got me from A to B. No complaints. Outstanding experience!

Oh my gosh! Where to start?! I rented through Priceline as Ace Rentals so I thought this would be a vetted car rental place. It was about the same price as Budget, but a slightly bigger car which is why I chose them. Disaster!! First, they didn't have a place at the airport and so I had to wait for 1.5 hours before they picked me up in what turned out to be my car which I was aghast. It had way over 100K miles, had a bumper falling off, smelled bad of cigarette smoke, visors were ripped (yep) out of the car, and when you turned a corner the CV joint knocked so bad that you thought the wheel would come off. The tinted windows were bubbling so badly that it was hard to see through them. USB port didn't work and nowadays need that for GPS. I had rented the car for the week, but drove it just over 100 miles in fear that it would die somewhere. They charged a deposit that took weeks to be returned and I worried I would never get it back, and someone else's review said that they had to call over and over to get it back. I will say though that the staff were extremely nice and I believe they really did want it to be OK so that's why I gave them an extra star.

This is my second time renting from nifty. Keith is amazing. Very friendly and helpful. He was on time both times picking me up from the airport. Keith will always suggest great place to go and get great food. This is my go to place to rent cars

My personal vehicle broke down and I was in an emergency situation during Mardis Gras weekend. On a Sunday where we were quickly running out of options, Keith came through and helped us get into a vehicle on a moments notice. Keith went above and beyond and gets 5 stars for his customer service. Would highly recommend!

Keith and Michelle were amazing! I didn’t love the first car I was in, so they happily put me in a free upgrade without even changing my rate. They picked me up and dropped me off at the airport almost as soon as I needed them too. They’re a small local business so you’ll need your own insurance, but for the rate I got that was just fine.
