Exceptional!!From now on, I will drive to Gulfport to J Allen, from Hattiesburg to do business with Toyota. This will be local dealership. (Btw, Hattiesburg has a Toyota dealership, if you catch me). I received such urgent care on a recall on my Camry when Hattiesburg wouldn't take the time to even care. Jaylen (sp) was very respectful and had my timely needs in mind!! I was planning to leave on Monday on a 9 hr drive and the brake system malfunctioned (the recall) on Friday and he went above and beyond to get my car fixed and me back on the road when Hattiesburg (for the second time) had no time for me and wouldn't even TRY to work me in. I'm highly impressed with J Allen and will continue to drive an hour from now on!!

Between October of 2011 and June of 2023 I have had service or ancillary parts purchased 29 times for a total of $13287.00. Throughout the preceding years I was pleased with the service as the sole owner of my 2003 Tundra. I felt I was getting superior service from an authorized Toyota dealer. In June I had a vacuum assist master brake assembly installed. They informed me of no OEM parts available and had to use an aftermarket brand. On the day I drove off the lot to a doctor's appointment I had driven 9 miles and stopped for water at a Quick stop. Upon leaving the establishment my trucks brakes were frozen as to prevent me from moving forward or reverse. There was a strong burnt smell and heat emanating from the 4 wheels. The Allen service supervisor showed due diligence and summoned a tow truck. It was determined adjustments were required on the newly installed unit. I asked if my brake pads and rotors and drums were checked as I had driven some distance. The answer on all queries was "they did a brake job". No spec sheet indicating millimeter thickness or scoring. Every time I've had a brake inspection; I've received an evaluation. There was no proof to be had. I had enough at this point. I told the manager that I lost confidence in Allen and my vehicle. The smirking laughing service aid whom was listening received a tart report from me saying "if you last long enough in your position you too will probably get an irritated customer" Good bye Allen Toyota

Now 6 months later it's time for service. I bring it in and also mention, once again, the console piece and the mysterious order for the replacement piece and also the grinding, which is now worse. The service tech asks if he can get in the car so he can hear the grinding. I reverse the car...we both hear the noise. Technician takes me inside to writes up the order for service, diagnostic of the grinding and also calls the parts department who tells him the console piece is in stock. I asked why I never received a call notifying of the console and was told that the service technician who I dealt with and placed the order was no longer employed there so it must have been overlooked. End of day, I receive a call that service is complete and console is repaired and the grinding is from struts that need replacing. But...they had to order struts!!! He told me they'd call when the struts were delivered. Approximately 7-10 days is what I could expect. Guess what?!? I had to bring my Toyota in for tire repair due to road hazard approximately 10 days later. While I was there I inquired about the strut order to which the tech looked up the order and I was told the parts were there. Again...no call! I made an "appointment " with the original service technician that I dealt with to drop the car off the next day and was told that the vehicle would need to be there ALL DAY. I made arrangements and had the car there at 7:45 am. By 4:45 I had not heard from j Allen so I called to inquire and was told the repair tech was finishing up and would be done in the next half hour which worked as that was the time I was due to be there. I arrived and after the tech was searching for my keys and work order I was then told that only 1 side of struts had been replaced. Once the repair tech completed 1 side and tested they still heard the noise but clocked out and left. I was asked when I could bring the car back and told them the next day. They asked I give them 1 more business day. I made a special trip to Gulfport 2 business days later at 7:45 am to leave the vehicle. The original service advisor happened to be walking through the "garage" area when I drive up. The checker called him over. He came over and I mentioned I was back for the struts to the other side. He took my keys. I never signed digitally or on paper in the dealership...shame on me. Now I look back and think how stupid it was to leave my vehicle without any proof of who I left it with and why. I called 9 hours later to check on the status. The service technician looked me up by my phone number and told me my vehicle was ready but then while speaking with me he started speaking with my service technician....they were having a conversation in the background and I was placed on hold. When the phone was picked back up, it was our service tech who stated the repair tech and repair manager could barely hear a noise and that they were at a loss while waiting for a Toyota specialist to return their call to inquire about what the noise could be. I told him I could bring the car in the following week for more diagnostics and that I was in the area and headed to pick up the vehicle. I even asked him if he recalled hearing the noise b/c I knew I heard something and was not going crazy. He agreed that he heard the grinding. 15 minutes later when I arrived and he saw me, there had been a discovery and they now knew that they needed to change the struts on the other side. I could be way off here and all of what I'm about to say is speculation but it's almost like the service advisor was clueless as to who I was (remember that we never did paperwork when I left the vehicle at 7:45) until I showed up for pick up. Once he told me what they decided about the struts on the other side, I was like oh...I thought I was dropping it off for you all to change the other side. He then tells me that the parts are ordered and I can drop it off in about 1 week for replacement once the parts arrive. I truly feel like NO ONE even looked at the car today and when the guy answ

My Tacoma battery died. When I recharged, there were numerous computer generated alarm/fault messages on the dashboard. None were real I knew. I tried a few things and called Allen Service and told them what happened. They understood fully. Scheduled me for a diagnostic. Thing is, turns out this is a very common problem. All over the net. Simply disconnect the negative terminal and wait 15 minutes. Reconnect. It worked. They obviously knew how to do this and could have just told me over the phone. Wanted some bucks. Watch out for these people and in fact for all service depts.

My vehicle stopped working, was totally inoperable. Gave J Allen Toyota a call for advice. Casey in the Service Department advised to disconnect then reconnect the battery for a soft reboot, and ask someone to help with the reboot.A gentleman was kind and understanding enough to pause loading shopping bags into his vehicle, and follow Casey's advice to start my stalled vehicle. People only need the discernment to recognize Angels, Blessings, Guardians, Miracles, Good People, Difficult Situations made easy, Love, Care and Concern for others (total strangers) still exist on this Earth!, in America!, in Pass Christian, MS as was displayed in a Walmart parking lot for a stranger in distress.I have no idea who the gentleman is, hope he reads this post and realize his kindness is appreciated so much!!! The vehicle was towed by E&M Towing Service Company after every effort to start it did not work. E&M Tow Truck driver was understanding, courteous, polite, kind as well. The following day J Allen Toyota, Service Department took great care of my vehicle, had it operational, running smooth, caressing toads, highways, my drive way in comfort after the alignment. The past several years have been unprecedented, unusual, strange for every one. Civil acts of kindness for, on behalf of, towards each other during our daily interactions with other people (especially folks some people may consider different) for various reasons is refreshing.
