I just moved to Chickasaw County 3 months ago from Florida. I'm Florida the landfills are free to County residents verified with drivers license. This landfill just charged me $35 for 160 pounds of trash that couldn't be burned. I guess we have to dig holes and bury our own trash.

Always leave my can in the road, and we need two pickup days.

Hours are too short, and they are closed on the weekend and even on minor holidays. Closing time has been changed from 5:00 to 3:30, and I assume it will be cut back even further in the future. Residents who work full time have no opportunity to dispose of their household trash.
