Drove over 2 hrs to look at a car. Disappointing to find unreported impact damage on the vehicle. My salesman Jonathan did not acknowledge the issue when I advised him. I advised him I would not buy a vehicle with unreported damage; even offered to show him the damage. He responded that this vehicle and I'm quoting, "just isn't the right fit for you". After I drove off it still bothered me, so I called back and reached "Jenderika" in that locations business office. I explained what I found and who I spoke with, advising her of my experience. I was put on hold.....then hung up on.
CARMAX, whiskey tango foxtrot?? Is this your business model?

This was a new experience for me in purchasing a car. Mr.Clinton was very helpful and welcoming. He made me feel as if we were family, this made everything go smoothly and me being able to pick the perfect car for me. He helped to stay in my budget and help me find a great one for myself. Thank you Mr.Clinton and everyone else was so friendly here as well!! I definitely recommend going here !

By far the worse car max there is! I have purchased 2 cars from here within the last 2-3 years that both had MAJOR issues within the first month! Recently purchased a vehicle for 16k that needed 9k of work done AFTER purchase (over half of the car value). Kevin Causey in the service department is the worse! Very unprofessional and seems to be out of the loop of everything going on in his office! His staff told me my car would be ready weeks ago and today his response to me was the part just got there today, only to be called back by his superior to tell me that the car was ready (superior that he initially said he didn’t have) his exact words were “i am the operations manager here”. ) . Kevin proceeded to hang the phone up in my face. He needs some sort of training on management and customer service! Kirt (or curt) who is the manager at this branch was friendly , but not friendly enough to where I am willing to let go of the experience I’ve experienced here with CarMax and Mr. Kevin! They do not give accurate updates and although they have your car undergoing prepares , everything seems to be a secret and according to Mr. Kevin, “he works on 100 cars a day he doesn’t remember statuses” but told me a part had just gotten there about a car that’s ready! Mr. Kevin is not a professional by any means! Would love to discuss my issues with corporate office.

Professional!!! Eddie Steele was my sales consultant and he got me a car the same day. We laugh and smiled the whole time, it was great and exciting working with this awesome person.

Sold my vehicle to CarMax. Process was very easy. No haggling or snags. They walk you through the paperwork and give you payment. I was impressed.

Would give a zero rating if possible. First looked at a car at the Carmax in Jackson 10 years ago and had bad experience then but decided to give them a second try recently, my fault. Nothing has changed. The "no negotiation" policy is such a deal breaker and one for suckers. The salesman was awfully arrogant. Their trade-in value was $8k less than I got from the dealership across the Interstate. Car was interested in clearly had "lot rot" as tires all had low air pressure and one was completely flat. In the end I only reconfirmed my first impression of this company. Laughed as I was in Chicago and passed the Carmax there with the 14 acres "For Lease" sign. Such a poor business model for not only customers but investors as well. Needless to say got same model car with lower miles from another dealership.

Carmax has had my car for 44 days now.
They took it to ford to fix it because they couldn’t fix it but Ford charged too much, so they were going to fix it then.
They had this conversation with Ford during the week of December 15th-19th.
I called Carmax on the 27th (because Carmax doesn’t give updates, you have to call them & good luck getting someone on the phone) and they informed me that they still haven’t picked it up from Ford or ordered the parts to fix it.
Ford is currently fixing it.
Needless to say, I will never buy another car from Carmax. This has been a complete joke.

They're very friendly and nice they only thing is they do just oil change would like if they check everything on they vehicle just to make sure nothing else is going on with your vehicle

If I could give 0 stars I definitely would. If I had the money to sue I would. I got a 2017 Hyundai Sonota from them in April 2024. They said it had no prior wrecks. No engine problems. Perfect car. I fell in love with it. Within a day I realized the entire car had been repainted (not very well as paint was on all windows and trim). Within 2 months the car had started burning the entire contents of the oil pan. I have been having to put a gallon of oil in the car within a week 1/2 ever since. Its now the beginning of December and the car is not drivable. I did take the car back before my 90 day warranty expired and they said the only way to trade it would be to put another down payment on a car plus the leftover on this car would still be owed. They knew what they were selling me and chose not to fix the problem. If you have any other option choose somewhere else to buy. These people are just trying to line their pockets and don’t care that they put a mom and child in a lemon.

I was able to take my quote for my vehicle to the service desk and it was accepted. It took 1 hour for the completed process. The staff were very professional‼️
