I brought my 3 year old granddaughter into the store, she picked out a toy she wanted and when we were done shopping we went to the register to pay.
The female cashier was very ugly and rude and stated she couldn’t sell us the toy because it had rang up for a penny. Dollar general policy states that if an item is found on the floor of the store by a customer that the item had to be sold to the customer. The cashier and the other male employee at the other register, continued to be rude along with a customer that was at the male employees register as well. This was reported to corporate office of dollar general who also told me what policy I read was absolutely true. My granddaughter left the store screaming and crying without her toy all because this stores employees were not taught the accurate store policies.
I won’t be back. Also note corporate office informed me that they would be sending me the toy in the mail that my granddaughter wanted! Thanks corporate office for following company policy but please train your employees on store policies as well.
