Visited GC soon after doors were opened on a Saturday morning. 2 or 3 customers. No greeting; no acknowledgment. I came to the store because I was interested in an expensive Martin guitar. Went into acoustic room where another guy was test driving a guitar. We struck up conversation, shared experiences and opinions about various guitars. He left leaving me in the room alone. The guitars I wanted to here were hanging too high to reach. I hung around several more minutes, but staff never approached me. Finally, I left, still with no acknowledgment from staff. Btw, I’m an older, experienced, serious player and have the money to buy whatever I want. Two stars only because inventory was good.

I don't come to Guitar Center to buy instruments. I come to Guitar Center for live sound gear. Employees are a joy to talk to and just share tips and stories with. If you need gear, go here.

They don't answer the phone. That's a unique sales startegy that I wasn't aware of.

I just wanted to buy a high E string. But the employees and the guitar tech would NOT restring or let me buy the E string, so rude. I mean, what's hard about putting one string on a guitar. I would do it myself if they've let me. The guitars on the wall had rusted strings. They probably don't even restring their guitars, uh so gross!? If this doesn't change they should shutdown. Dang, my local guitar store is better. At Backstage music they were able to restring my guitar, it was only 2 men working at Backstage. At Guitar center there were 3 men working. Who works at a guitar store but don't know how to restring!??

I’ve been playing guitar for well over 20 years, so it goes without saying that I spend a good bit of time and money at guitar stores. This is the absolute worst place I’ve ever shopped. No one says “hello, we will be with you in a moment” when you walk in. You can literally stand there all day and no one will offer to help you. If they are busy, they will ignore you completely. If they aren’t busy with a customer, they will still ignore you. I had to practically beg someone to let me buy an expensive acoustic from them. Lol. Seems like a poor business model to me! ? Do better.

This location much like the rest of jackson has awful customer service. They work very hard to not sell guitars here.

Absolutely awful experience. They were incredibly rude about a trade-in we had called AHEAD about. So, they're only marginally friendly if you're going to buy from them (which we have), otherwise they're just know-it-all jerks to you. If this is how you treat your customers, especially those who have been in the music scene for WELL over a decade and have been patrons for years, how do you plan on staying open? We'll never be going back and we'll make sure everyone we know avoids this location unless something is done.

All I did was stop in to see what was here, was just curious about the place. $14 later I have the best instrument in my life: a wah-wah tube.

Wide selection in nearly every category. The expertise of the employees also varies widely.
