i recently got a car from this rental dealership it smelt like marijuanna and wasn’t clean properly like someone just gotten out of it. The guy who i received it from he was tall guy dark skinned with dreads look like he had hearing aids in with very unprofessional manners but i will not be purchasing from here again!

I had a car rented for 3 weeks for a trip to see family. They message me two days before arrival that they have no cars. Luckily Avis did a great job, although rates for all were higher two days out. Don't count on Hertz at all. I will never use them again for anything. They should owe me money for what they did to me. Use at your own risk. Read the reviews. I should have known.How can this "owner keep commenting they are sorry when they obviously don't give a damn?

So flew late on Monday went to Hertz counter and our company booking agent had used and expired card to reserve the car. I said no problem I will put it in mine. She said they can’t do that. I said why and she never really answered. I said ok well I need to rent a car and she said we don’t do that you will have to book online. So I had to step out of the airport and reserve a call thru Priceline and then go back in. The line was 5 deep at this time so waited another 30 min to get up and get my car and while completing the paperwork the other girl at the counter threw up in a bag at the counter. Wow. The car was decent except someone’s deodorant was on back seat. This was Monday October 2 at 8:00 pm. Horrible experience for me.

My flight was delayed, so I landed a little after 9:20pm. This rental location shows a closing time at 11 pm. When I arrived at the garage at 9:35, the security guard said they didn't leave a car for me, despite having a reservation and being a Gold member. Apparently they left at 9:30. I wasn't the only one they left stranded, and I was told this happens often. Thank goodness my travel agent was able to get me a car thru another company that actually wanted the business and cares about their customers.

When our windshield got a large crack just outside of Jackson, we were nervous as we had a lot of long drives left for our holiday. Arriving at the airport Jules was incredibly helpful and kind, supporting us with our accident form and sending us to the front desk where Donna quickly helped us exchange for a new car.Thank you both for your help, great service from Hertz!

I rented a Corolla crossover and it broke down on me. I rented it in flowood MS but I was able to drive it to Jackson airport and the customer service at the counter was ridiculous. His name is Isiah employee no.6688. He put me in Toyota Corolla something way smaller I was totally disappointed and not satisfied. Tomorrow I'm cancelling this rental.take the car back tomorrow

Absolutely the best service ever for a rental car place. Was taken care of quickly and when I forgot to add a driver they were quick to do so. Plus we came in hours later than were expected to arrive and was treated very well. Definitely recommend

Hertz doesn’t honor their reservations. I made reservations in advance but when I went to pickup the rental vehicle I was told they have no vehicles available. It was a terrible experience and very poor customer service. I filed a complaint with Hertz. Here is the response from Hertz: “We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience experienced when we were unable to honor your reservation. Although our reservation system is designed to provide a vehicle at the time and place requested, situations can sometimes develop that prevent us from honoring a reservation. Apologies are seldom sufficient when customers receive poor service. Every effort will be made to serve your future needs in a manner more consistent with your expectations and our standards.” It’s a good idea to call before you get there. I hope others don’t get stranded and have to scramble to find another rental company that has a car available on short notice.

THE WORST EVER!!!I rented a car from them. It broke down within 30 minutes of me renting it. Roadside took over 5 hours to arrive. I could not stay with the vehicle because it wasn't a safe location and the vehicle was towed back to the airport that evening. I ended up having to get other transportation at my own expense that weekend. Hertz is now saying I returned the car a week late and charged me for the towing and charged me for fuel since it wasn't returned with a full tank. This location NEVER answers the phone and Hertz corporate is super unhelpful. RUN!!! DO NOT RENT HERE!!!

First time ever renting a car. I made reservations through priceline. They sent my confirmation and intenirary within 2 minutes. Went to the airport, checked in with Budget, with whom I received the rental through, and it was a breeze. The woman who helped me was very friendly and conversational. She walked me through the whole process. Got my papers, took them to the booth, and they gave me the keys to my rental. Very easy and will be renting from them in the near future.

WORSE SERVICE EVER! Hertz at Jackson airport was completely absolutely horrible from the manager to the employee ISIAH GOLDEN! I was accused of smoking in the rental when I never smoked in my life and told I was lying and charged 400.00 after leaving the airport and never received my card hold which was 500.00 so in all 900.00 was stolen from me!!! The employee stated he didn't know they were going to charge me and refused to answer when I called! DO NOT EVER RENT FROM HERTZ JACKSON AIRPORT!!UPDATE:The situation was resolved through cooperate office but Hertz in Jackson MS you suck!

Negative rating not possibe on this forum.Recently rented vehicle from Hertz @ Jackson Airport. While driving at 8pm, the change oil message appeared on dash, followed by the low oil pressure and Master Warning lamp. Called Hertz's roadside assistance, on hold for over 45 minutes. Their solution, purchase oil for the car and get reimbursed and/or return to Hertz location to exchange the car, nearest Hertz office over 1 hour away. Laughable....while adding oil is an easy solution, if the vehicle needs to be serviced why is it being leased? Tried adding oil no success, add to return to airport to return it. Airport hours are weak and should be earlier.The customer service agent at the roadside assistance was less the adequate. They didn't want to resolve the issue, just get you off the phone.Was unable to resolve oil issue, returned to airport location on Saturday. Lot attendant unable to provide receipt and stated counter was closed until Monday and I would have to call or comecack. Luckily I was able to obtain rental with different agency, who stated the Hertz counter opened at 9a on Saturdays. FYI hoursare posted on small sign on counter. The lot attendant might benefit knowing the hours of operation and how people can obtain receipts after hours.Unfortunately had to wait on counter agent and try to obtain receipt.Will definitely be speaking to company's travel service and express my displeasure with Hertz, and hopefully all future rentals will be with another company.

Absolute garbage of a business!!!! We made a rental and even pre-paid for it! Showed up and they didn’t have any cars!!!!!!! I was frustrated but thought it was a fluke. Fast forward one month… went back because we really needed a rental car. Had a reservation and everything…. Showed up to pick up the car… no cars!!!!!! Mind you we had to have someone drive us over an hour to get to this location. Customer service was awful. They basically said… tuff luck. So…. Two times they left me stranded without a car when I had reservations!!!! I will never use them again. Garbage!

Remember the Seinfeld episode? Hertz is the "gold" standard. They know how to take the reservation. They just don't know how to hold the reservation. I am a national sales manager for a large manufacturer and travel 60% of the year. I will go out of my way to never use or promote Hertz services again.

On govt travel, rented from Thrifty, but when I got there, a sign at the counter said go to Hertz. There was a shortage of cars, the ladies behind the counter were awesome! The computers were running slow, no cars, and they were doing the best they could in an impossible situation. It took over an hour, but I eventually drove off in a lot nicer car than the economy car I had reserved. Not sure about the reason for a car shortage, but hats off to your employees behind the counter. They need a raise.
