The staff were nice and helpful no problems there. Parking was cool but people from the fair next door were parking there as well. The building was dark, damp, smelled and needed some cleaning. Got upstairs and our room door was cracked open.. we peeked inside, it hadn’t been cleaned so they gave us another one. Next room there were hair and some dirt in the bedding, the carpet wasn’t vacuumed well either. AND as you can see I got ate up by BED BUGS (see photos).
Safety: We didn’t feel unsafe but remain cautious of the area. They had a security officer in the lobby. A few other hotels/motels across the street so you’ll see people outside at all times. You may get approached and asked for money.

Everything was nice and clean but someone had not done a great job vacuuming so even though I wore slippers I stepped on a few things. The breakfast was minimal. Cereal, biscuits, eggs, bacon and you could have toast or bagel. Looked like you could make pancakes at some point but there wasn't any batter that I could see. The coffee was fabulous though. The worst thing was having mainstream news going in the breakfast area. I could not wait to leave. I suggest innocuous things like cooking shows or other non-political things. On a good note, the ladies working there were very friendly and nice.
Nearby activities: This place is close to many sites. Right off a highway.

This hotel is really feeling its age. It felt old, dark, and claustrophobic. However, the employees were friendly, and the bed was great. The lamps on the bed end tables had outlets built in, and they were nice and bright. The AC was cold. Otherwise, did I say old? Also, a law enforcement officer was hanging out late, and his vehicle was prominently parked. This made me feel a little better about the safety of my car. Great location for the fair, however.

Room was adequate. Bed was coy. Breakfast was sparse, even though we came down about 8:15am.

If I could give this hotel a big fat ZERO I would!!! We stay in hotels every week traveling with work…I expect better from holiday inn and I have to say most of the ones I stay in are on point…this one is just nasty, and beds are hard, and you can’t sleep because people I guess just stay up smoking weed all night and the smell is AWFUL…and first thing in the morning already irritated because you pay the same price for a good clean hotel and you get to breakfast and it looks like they are feeding the homeless, there is no food, cereal but no milk, no coffee lids, I asked for an item but no, still no one brought it out after asking nicely…seriously do better!!

SLEEP IN YOUR CAR INSTEAD. Nastiest hotel room I've ever seen. LONG BLONDE HAIR on the pillows, sour carpets that smelled like onions and feet, holes in the bed sheets, dingy towels (which you only get 2 at a time of), and yellow mystery stains on the comforters. Hotel doors do not soft-close causing them to slam shut 24 hours a day by staff and guests which is loud enough to make the whole room shake. No one answers the phones for the operator or housekeeping and mattress feels like the sidewalk. Do yourself a favor and keep driving!

1st room the door did NOT lock and the manager knew this. Still gave us the room. Glad I double checked door before leaving my stuff in the room. 2nd room A/C did not work. 3rd room the key did not work when we got in at midnight. All messed up. Furniture was broken and very dirty. Yet they were booked up????

Do NOT stay here under any circumstances! They have their own in house securty and it’s obvious they are all in on the car break ins ! My daughter and several others had their windshields broken and everything stolen. 21 year old manage doesn’t have a clue. Again FOR your safety and your families safety do not stay here

These hotels are supposed to have someone checking behind the maids. They obviously do not do proper cleaning. The base of the lamps was really dirty, our bedspread have lots of dirt marks. The beds were comfortable, and the place was quiet. They had bacon (needs to be cooked longer), biscuits, and egg. The lady working it was friendly and smiling.

My husband and I spent a night recently, and had a pleasant experience. The property was clean, including the room. The bed was comfortable. I liked the Dove brand they used for the toiletries (they had the regular sized containers instead of the individual minis. The containers were locked, but allows you to pump/dispense as needed). The breakfast was okay; everything was low when we got there, but it was an hour and a half before breakfast ended, so I'm assuming (hoping) things were replenished shortly after we grabbed our plate and headed to our room.
No complaints. Would definitely stay again.

Its a simple Holiday Inn express and nothing more. Check in/out was a breeze and the front desk clerk was very nice. The room was clean and no odors whatsoever. There weren't that many towles, but the front desk ckerk gave us a full set with no hassle. The TV and all appliances in the room were clean and in working order and made our stay very comfortable. The parking could be better, but we didn't have an issue finding a spot. The ice machine in the lobby wasn't working that well, but the 4th floor one was perfect. We didn't have time to try the pool, but I think its indoors somewhere on property. The breakfast was pretty good, but if you get downstairs in the last hour of service most of the stuff is likely going to be gone.
If you are uncomfortable in inner city areas this might not be the place for you however. One wrong turn off property will land you in some sketchy areas. Its nothing to be really worried about, but some people are uneasy in these types of areas so keep that in mind. There was a guy ,who I hope was security, that kept mean mugging me the whole time and he was visibly strapped. Again nothing to be concerned with, but I can see how that might bother someone.
All in all this will be our spot if we are visiting the area as its near everything in Jackson we like to visit
