The Mississippi Coliseum hosts a variety of events, including sports, fairs, talent shows, and competitions. Visitors often praise the venue for its ample seating and comfortable temperature inside. The security and staff are described as professional and prepared to handle conflicts if necessary. Parking is generally easy, but some reviews mention long wait times at the entrance, which could be improved. Attendees enjoy the wide range of activities and food options available, such as cotton candy, caramel apples, and corn on the cob during fairs. The venue consistently maintains a high standard for events, with well-organized shows like the gun show and cheer competitions. Overall, the Mississippi Coliseum is appreciated for providing a good experience, creating a lively atmosphere for fans, athletes, and performers alike.
For the most part the Coliseum is in good shape but it is in need of some updates, inside and out.

This place is hideous on the inside, traffic management is terrible, the seats are uncomfortable. I'd rate it a zero if I could.

I came here for a high school basketball championship game. The parking was easy, but the entrance process was horrible. They only had 2 doors open, and people waited for an hour to get into the venue. Besides that issue, everything else was fine, and we enjoyed the game.
