Hospitals in small towns in Mississippi and other states are vitally important to those towns and their citizens. Certain institutions are essential to towns for them to continue to exist and be viable for future growth as well as their citizens. Those institutions include churches, schools, local government, and hospitals. When any of these cease to exist the town suffers particularly in future growth and loss of revenue.
