While I’ve never visited in person, I bought the RSD Black Friday Exclusive “From Studio 4” vinyl from their website after tirelessly digging through hundreds of record stores that participate in RSD. The stores in my area had either run out instantly or never received one. I was absolutely ecstatic to find that Offbeat had one last one in stock, and they were able to ship it out to me in Vegas within the week. I recommend Offbeat to everyone in the area (or even to those not in the area to buy from their website). Please give them all of your love and support. Thank you, Offbeat, for saving my Black Friday!!!

I've been coming here for years. It's the first Black comic store in Mississippi and one of the last real record stores. Offbeat is a culture shop and one of the true hearts of the city. Art, music, vintage clothing, toys, not to mention the events. Not only do they support local artists but they also are a hub of community involvement, emerging young artists, and small business support in the city. Jackson needs Offbeat and you should stop by and support. Everyone is welcome unless youre an entitled (expletive deleted).

This place is absolutely amazing & the owner was also amazing!! We went by here for the Barbie listening party and again who flew down from Indiana who asked to go. This place is truly a gem and has the potential to really be a staple in the community. Now I personally enjoyed the new location I can go in and spend hours looking thro records and finding old schools. The owner is also a DJ and he’s a really good one, he also has a place where you can play records. If you wanted to boost a listen party this would be the perfect place.
