March 2023 by Rebecca Boyd Bounds
Just when I lost all hope of Lowe’s in Laurel after writing a bad review yesterday, on March 22, 2023, I had to come back today and edit it. My sister and I bought two toilets and a small vanity yesterday and it was like pulling teeth to just get anyone to help! It is like this about 90 percent of the time at this location. I’ll have you know that you have a couple of employees that redeemed this location for customer satisfaction in less than 20 minutes for me today! A young girl working the pickup location and a gentleman by the name of Mr. Harold . Mr. Harold went over and beyond by searching for the vanity and bringing it and loading it in my car for me. He was very pleasant and cheerful. I could not have asked for better help. He is, INDEED, an asset to Lowe’s. I hope he reads this and knows just how much he helped me today! These are the types of employees that make your establishment worthy of great ratings! I hope that you will acknowledge these two employees for having a positive attitude and greeting people with a smile!

Discuss professionalism with your staff that works the front of the store.

It bothers me that the guarantee of a product that has not expired and why did I lose the receipt or can't find it? They don't want to give you anything, not even a gif card. This is not the first time they have taken it to me. The product is new, completely sealed, no. used and they come out with no good crap.

I just returned what I was told were perrenial flowers. I tried my best to do as I was told to make them thrive. I was told at the return desk that you can't return combo plants. I was never told that before, even though perrenials were in the pots. I requested to speak to the manager. When he finally showed up, he made me feel as though I was a criminal. He eventually said I could have the refund but this would be the "last" time! I sincerely came to years and could barely get out an ok. He made me feel horrible as though I am In there on a daily basis trying to get the better of them. We spend a ton of money at Lowe's and I am No longer happy to enter their doors, although I will have to because we do not have a competitor here. The manager's name was Brian. Shame on him!

We visit Lowe's frequently. The staff is usually quite helpful and knowledgeable. The store is always clean and organized. The only thing I would change is the communication throughout the store. We bought a wheel barrow and it took a while for someone to come out and help. Once they did, they were awesome! Great store, would recommend!

Now you may not have any proof to back up my claim as the handiest man in Laurel, but all you have to do is ask around and you'll find out pretty soon, if you can't fix it, I sure as hell can. That being said, this Lowe's is my go-to when I need to get the job done. They've got everything from batteries, washing machines, toilet paper, screwdrivers, copper wiring, quick crete, aluminum ladders, fat boy tomatoes, weed eaters, condoms, chewing gum, 12 pack a buds, malboro reds in a box and commercial grade preparation H for the toughest of hemorrhoids. I moved into my house, just over a year ago, right here in Laurel. And my dream was to have my very own back deck so I can smoke meat and marijuana, all in one place. Thanks to my hometown Lowe's, I officially have it all. All the lumber and bracing brackets and screws and nails and tape measures and whatever, I got it from here. Didn't have some obnoxious salesman breathing down my back trying to up-sale me on the latest and greatest dewalt impact driver, already had one anyway. Most recently I've purchased a few azaleas to color up my backyard. I also bought a couple from walmart across the street. The azaleas I bought from Lowe's are kicking the walmart azaleas' ass in a rather heinous fashion. Guess that's just how they were raised. Just one complaint is that I've heard this Lowe's has really good wifi, and I couldn't get my iphone to connect. I was trying to price check a new black and decker hedge trimmer from Ace Hardware and see if Lowe's would match the price, oh well, still 5 stars.

I had my contractor do a walk-in order for lumber on 2/14/17. I called to pay for the order on 2/14. I asked the female associate to email me a receipt of the transaction for my records. From that point, things have gone HORRRIBLY wrong and completely unacceptable. -I never received the email receipt as requested. -I was charged twice for $321 x 2= $642 -I still was never able to pick up my purchased material. -I called and file a complaint with the store, and was asked to provide bank statement proof. I did and faxed it in 2/15/17 at 6:23PM CST. I called to confirm receipt of fax with Customer Service; she confirmed. -I was told no one was there to resolve my issue. -I asked to speak to a GM and was told there is no GM at this store. -I called 2/16/17; I was told no one has seen the fax I sent the night before. I have re-faxed the proof of multiple charges. -2/16/17: I still haven't received my material. I have been handed off to 3-4 different people and still unresolved. This is only of a numerous issues that I've had with the Customer Service, Online Order Pickup, and Cashier Operations at this store. This is a horrible customer experience and extremely frustrating to see the lack of competence, departmental communication, and poor training in action. I am extremely confident that many other customers are experiencing these types of similar poor customer experiences as well.

After our local Lowes in Meridian did not have enough of the tile that we needed to remodel our bathroom, my husband got online and found enough in the Laurel store. We called the store and spoke with the nicest, most knowledge lady, who we later learned was the manager of the tile department. She made sure they had what their inventory online showed, checked the lot number to find if they were from the same lot, and told us exactly how to place the pick-up at the store order online so the tile would not be sold before we drove there to get it. Unlike our many bad experiences in the Meridian Lowes, the employees at the front desk were also very nice. They knew right where the order had been placed and right away got someone to help load the tile. I wish we could pick up that store and move it to Meridian, so we could get the same type service and could find the merchandise we need. The Laurel Lowes was GREAT!
