The facilities are well maintained and safe. This is my second time using Generations Self Storage and I currently have 2 units - one in Moss Point and one in Vancleave. I highly recommend this company!

The new ownership has been lovely to work with. There is a local person who manages everything and makes paying over the phone really easy if you prefer that over the internet.

Very safe and have good security and staff is very helpful and was very kind to us during this time our grand daughter ( we have raised since birth )that has been in serious status with a Brain Cyst was there for us to have a place to put our personal stuff out of the rain due to family member being heartless GENERATIONS STORAGE was there for us , this family truly appreciates them and HIGHLY RECOMMEND GENERATIONS STORAGE ,🙏🙌❤️💯

I have rented with company a few times when I moved as well as did work to our kitchen, they are definitely doing work and expending for the better at each of their facilities. They have new management and it was quick and easy to get the unit. Clean and well lit. Located just off the main road. Would highly recommend!

I DO NOT Recommend any of storage units owned by this company.I'll start from the beginning. The storage unit I originally rented was owned and operated under a different company. Generations Self Storage purchased the facility and that's when the problems began.My first big issue was they paid a gentleman to demolish a building on the property for expansion and while doing so, he disconnected the power for the automatic gate. For Four weeks in a row I called the customer service line and voiced my concerns about my storage unit unsecured due to the gate being open for several weeks in a row. never received any response as to how they were going to resolve the issue. I might add that I never even asked for a reduction in rent or anything and that I just wanted the issue resolved. one day the gate is finally back operational.Fast forward a month and suddenly they are having issues with my automatic payment. No big deal. I try to call and straighten the issue out and get the unit paid for so my belongings aren't put up for auction. the only problem now is there is no customer service line no matter which number you call. I then received a blunt text message from an employee named Whitney who started off the conversation with "I'm busy right now". No introduction as to who she is or who she works for. I ask is she is with Generations and she says she is and will get back to me later in the day... two days later still no phone call.Needless to say I immediately took my business elsewhere.Also unless you have a capable vehicle, the facility is currently adding a new building for more units but has left the already standing units inaccessible for people to get there belongings... Choose wisely before you end up doing business with these people.UPDATE: I received a notice that my account is past due and is being sent to collections and that the unit is up for auction. It is not possible to get in contact with anyone. They blocked my phone number and have hung up on every single previous occasion. If I call from my wife's phone, the call will go through but they do not answer. This is completely unacceptable!

PSA: DO NOT USE THE NEW STORAGE FACILITY IN HURLEY- GENERATIONS. This is a new facility in our community. I don’t know who actually owns it, but beware that they have NO ONE LOCAL TO HELP YOU. My unit has a “red lock” for no known reason and there is no one available to remove it. I cannot add or remove anything. I am being charged for this unit, denied access, and my items have in reality been stolen by this company. See story below. As soon as I can get my stuff out I will. Also know that many storage facilities in the area are now owned by this company. I rented in April. My bill is paid until June 20. It was paid on May 28. I went to put in items yesterday during business hours ( 1 pm) and the company has put a red lock keeping me from accessing my unit. There is NO ONE on site at any time. All you can do is contact call center in another state. I had to make 6 ( SIX) calls yesterday and each time I got a different representative which meant I had to tell my story again. The first two representatives saw NO REQUEST for a lock to be placed to prevent me access. By call 6 I spoke to call center manager. She saw NO REASON THAT LOCK WAS PLACED ON MY UNIT. She explained that she sent an email to facility manager ( I have no idea if manager is a local person) who was to contact the actual local maintenance person and have lock removed as soon as possible. I was to receive a call from maintenance person ( Alex) This was at 2 pm Friday. As of 10 am Saturday no call and red lock is still on my unit. I called number again. There is no supervisor on duty today at call center. No one at call center has a way to contact facility manager except by email. Only the facility manager can contact maintenance person. I can only send an email to facility manager, but it is her birthday so she won’t be available. So I requested access to another unit temporarily until the company is able to open my unit. I was told sure but I would have to pay full fee to rent another unit. And yes, that is when I lost it. By placing this red lock on my unit, GENERATIONS has in effect STOLEN MY ITEMS. I have paid for a service, am paid in full til June 20, my unit is not available to me AND my items in the unit cannot be accessed or removed. They have in effect stolen my items and taken my money without providing rhe agreed to service. The easiest solution is to at least give me access to a unit to store items already in vehicle. But no, that is not an option. My only option is to send an email and hope someone responds and takes lock off. I went to my emails and my log in account for payment and I cannot find any record of the rental agreement. I expected the agreement to be in the documents tab. Nope nothing there. Seriously- don’t use this place. Feel free to share my post!!!
