I brought items of clothing there yesterday. They were all on hangers, one still under the cleaner's bag. I took them out of the car and handed them over to the aging male. He just tossed them into the bin. They flipped over and were just crumpled looking in the bin. I thought he'd lay them out flat. The clothes had been cared for and hanging in the closet. They had meaning to me. I would never just treat them as discard and toss them like trash. Yes, I was donating them because I can't wear them, not because I thought of them as trash to be tossed. I will not be donating at this center anymore, though location is convenient. I'll donate to a church or another charity that at least act like they want the donation. This man wasn't even friendly, no smile, no greeting. He did ask if I wanted a receipt. I told him, no. I didn't need a receipt.

This Goodwill location is in a former short lived Starbucks location. The irony in this is absolutely astounding. You can now buy jeans from the goods donated here for less than a SB cappuccino. Crazy I really don't love giving to GW because of the jacked up business model. Take from the richer than my customer, and sell it to my less fortunate customers looking for a deal. This is all while pocketing a hefty profit for themselves. Honestly, I wish I would have thought of it. Damn it! I should have thought of it.

Convenient location brought me there. Service might keep me away. The gentleman who helped me unload the large amount of things we were donating was grumpy and obviously didn't want to be there. Several other people were there and did not come help the process, which took over 20 minutes.
