Wow. Ordered two pizzas. One was perfect. The other came out and was uneatable, felt like they forgot to add yeast to the dough. So disappointed. Here is a pic, only wish pictures could only tell you how bad something tasted.

Food used to be good, but now the food is just a greasy, soggy mess. My pizza tasted like Little Ceasars. The waitresses were kind, though.

They wouldn't let us split our group of 5 and wanted us to wait 30 minutes for a bigger table. I counted (8) 4top/booths available. We left and ate at a neighboring restaurant. Why would you pass on $$$$ and customers that will now never come back? Splitting our group wouldn't have effected one thing that night. The place was basically half empty.

Went tonight with four other people and were told that they couldn't push tables together for us. We'd have to wait 45 minutes for a table that seats 5-6 that was currently occupied. Let me be clear: there were several open tables that could have easily been pushed together to accommodate us. So in the hopes of getting 8 potential guests, they turned away five willing guests. Who's to say we wouldn't have spent more money than those eight guests? Stupid policy from an ownership who obviously cares nothing about guests and only about squeezing money out of people. Won't return. Oxford has many more--and many better--restaurants. After all, we only went there because St. Leo was too crowded.

Took over two hours to get food, server never checked on us, refilled water, had to get her attention to order and even get our food. So rude about the wait aswell. Also asked for the manager and never was allowed to speak to them.

if there was less than a one-star rating, I'd give it. This obese guy in a faded orange t-shirt came out and told me that my Hugo Boss 1/4 zip (with a collar) didn't count as a collared shirt because it was "over a tshirt" (hint: most collared shirts in February have a t-shirt underneath) dumped a bucket of God-knows-what into Faulkner's Alley and slithered back inside. Dont set the standard of wearing a shirt with a collar as the minimum if you're going to debate what a collar is...while wearing a crappy tshirt with no collar... Fat, uneducated, empowered, a-hole.

We had a party of six and the restaurant was completely empty. The server refused to serve us because they could only serve tables of 4 or less. We offered to sit two at a table and 4 at another and even pay separately. They told us no and asked us to leave. Can’t understand how an empty restaurant turns away money. Servers and hostess were incredibly rude. Another table even came to us and told us they tried to refuse them as well.

Really solid Italian and decent choice of food. Service is very friendly. Nice seating and interior. Food comes out a little uncooked sometimes but overall it's solid

We arrived with three other tables occupied and ordered a small pizza and a meatball sandwich. In the hour it took to get our food, our drinks were refilled once. The pizza reminded me of school cafeteria pizza.The dough was barely cooked and was more like tough bread. Some of the cheese wasn't even melted. The pizza wasn't cut beyond indentations. The sandwich was very flavorful but barely warm. None of the empty glasses were taken nor was the bread plate for the roll that was provided when we were seated. Our server said they were filling a $4,000 order for the football team. Either fill their order and close the restaurant or decline the order and take care of the cuustomers in your restaurant, but don't do both if you don't have the capacity.

Very disappointing at how much the portions have shrunk here. The seafood pasta had two shrimp in each order. (Three people in the party ordered the dish)They did include shrimp tails to get the illusion of more shrimp on initial presentation.Just don’t. It’s not work the prices.

I am giving Venice Kitchen a generous 2 stars. The bread and oil that we got when we sat down was the best thing that happened all night. We ordered the sausage cheese appetizer for almost $20 and almost laughed when it showed up. Look up my picture of the huge hunk of cheese. There were a few tiny tiny rings of sausage, some banana peppers, a few walnuts and some blah sauce. My daughter's pizza had raw veggies on top. I ordered the chicken parm. The chicken was burned. Not just crispy. But burned. I told the waitress and ordered something else. It was Monday, so the sign said all appetizers except the sausage plate were 1/2 price. When I got the check, the cheese fries were full price. I asked the waitress, Lissa. She asked someone named Abby who said "oh yes, the cheese fries are not 1/2 price). See the picture of the table sign. There are too many outstanding Italian restaurants in Oxford for them to be this bad. They also charged me for my burned chicken parm. I would never recommend this place. I will be sharing my experience.

Ate there Saturday night about 7. Should have suspected something when we saw it was not crowded. Hostess was bussing tables, maybe two-three waiters working. Bar was closed in back. Was told both appetizers we ordered were unavailable, out. Ordered Lasagna and a pizza. $18 lasagna looked like a child's serving. Ordered side Caesar salads that were flavorless. Requested bread and was told they were out. This place was pathetic.

Absolute trash. We tried going to Secret Grilled Cheese, which is owned by the same people (new ownership). Located right below and is a "secret." Guys have to wear a shirt with a collar, which we knew. A group of us tried go on a non-busy weekend. 3 girls and 2 guys. Both guys wore a shirt with a collar and jeans. As we walked up, a guy walked out of the establishment in jeans and a T-shirt and proceeded to vomit 4 times by our feet. We then knocked to get in and gave the appropriate password, but we were told we could not get in because the men were not in slacks. We told them we just saw a guy come out in jeans and a shirt, and he also got profusely sick. It's not like there was any ounce of class or sophistication...They said it was a mistake letting that guy in and that they still would not let us in. They were extremely and shockingly rude about it and slammed the door in our face. Then another guy walked out also in jeans and a tee!! We went and spent our money elsewhere on the Square and enjoyed ourselves. Later, we saw them let a group of clearly intoxicated people go inside, and the guys in that group were wearing jeans. We are so confused. We will never try to go here again. Plus the alley reeks of vomit.....thanks to their "classy" customers. This is a polite version of our disappointment. We have now spoken to other people in The Square about this place, and apparently it is a common thread. We will continue to make sure others know not to come here.
