This complaint is in reference to Invoice #10199 for thework done October 9, 2023. Our vehicle was towed tothis shop while I was in Oxford on a work trip, so i wasreferred by the towing company. This is an addendum toan original complaint previously filed for a drive shaft thatcompletely fell from under our vehicle on the interstate at7:30 am in morning traffic. Once we had our vehicletowed the morning the drive shaft dropped from underthe vehicle, we we surprised to learn that we hadadditional issues. Our invoice from Ray Brothers clearlystates that parts and labor were charged for universaljoints and pinion seal. Unfortunately, either the work wasnot done at all or was so neglectful that the mechanic wasdisturbed that there was so much fluid leaking and statedthat we had been erroneously charged for undone labor. Our invoice from Ray Brothers that day was $619.67.Three weeks later our invoice for the drive/propeller shaftwas $1300.22 to actually fix our vehicle that we hadalready paid to have done. We have reached out to thiscompany and was shocked that there response was thatthe work done was only "a patch job" so that the vehiclecould make it back to Jackson the same day. Our invoicelist parts we were charged for and they state NEW. It alsolist $220 for labor. There is no mention of partial labor orpatch work labor, or just to get down the road labor. Thereare no notes or recommendations of any additional workneeded on the receipt, implying that work was done andcomplete. Please be careful when letting them do any major work that may cause your vehicle to cause harm to yourself of someone on the road.

Got us tired of try to solve our problems. Worst $1,500 we ever spent. They lie about everything and there is a big guy working there agressive and tries to intimidate our employees when they went there to pickup one of our trucks.Truck was brought in to check why wasn’t starting without starting fluid. They tore up the steering wheel, said the truck was running perfect and, after get paid, we realized the truck was still the same.I wish we read the reviews before get our truck there

We had originally given this shop a very good review. We were mistaken. On October the 9th while on a work retreat in Oxford, my vehicle suddenly started to shake and slow down, eventually stopping. It was unfortunately towed to Ray Brothers Auto. The repairs made were for driveline universal joints and pinion seal along with tow, labor, and diagnostic. Our bill was $619. 67. At the time we were thankful to be able to get back to Jackson the same day. Then 2 days ago at 7:30 in the morning on a busy I-55 interstate the entire drive shaft came apart under my vehicle and eventually after a mile of shaking and bumping the pavement rolled into the interstate. Thank God it did not make contact to trailing vehicles and injure anyone or myself. We contacted Ray Brothers to complain and get some sort of compensation for the new repairs and they lied and stated the work they did was only supposed to be temporary in order to get back to Jackson the same day, and that that was explained to us. At no point in time prior, during, or after we handed them over $600 did anyone say that this was a patch job. Our invoice clearly charges for parts and clearly states replacement, not patch repair. After several attempts and pictures, we have resolved to escalate this issue to legal status. If you have need for an auto repair in Oxford, for safety sake and to not be robbed for unethical work, stay away from Ray Brothers.

Went here to get a small thing fixed. Asked them to check on other stuff because I thought something was off. They didn’t even check! A part of my car fell out on the highway! Don’t go here. They fixed the small issue but their negligence left me with a much larger issue.

Daughter at Ole Miss, Dad at home in Virginia. My daughter's car was overheating. Called these guys. They recommended a towing company (Chandlers), received the car, ordered parts, effected repairs, and got the car back to my daughter within a couple of days. Customer service was outstanding. They sent me a link via text to pay. Costs were in line with industry standards and the convenience was awesome.

Terrible experience with this crook.Liar said my truck was ready and I got them paid $1,4 over the phone but when I told my employee to pick it up the truck was the same.Left there for one more week so they tell me that would be 3 months untill the put their hands on my truck again (for no reason).I told them I was getting there on the next day to get my truck (everything was paid already) and they said it was ready. Drove for hours to get there and they blocked my truck and won’t answer the phone for nothing. On the next day when I pull there and request my refund, the guy started to freak out.Big guy acting like a girl in front of his shop.Wrong and pretending to be right. It means I paid $1,4k for nothing but headaches.Let me put this way: if he was going to hell, I wouldn’t recomend for the devil.

Riddle me this:How does a $164,000 car with 60,000 miles enter a repair shop for a simple A/C recharge, and suddenly have a broken belt, and a massive oil leak?By the time I eventually took my G-wagon to Ray Brothers, I had already visited three other shops that were either closed, or completely overbooked. With temperatures soaring past 100, I couldn’t wait. The owner at Ray Brothers, after a quick inspection, surmised that (1) the car needed Freon, and (2) had a small leak somewhere in the A/C system that would need to be addressed later down the line. After informing me that a simple A/C recharge would only take about an hour, and would be $150, I paid for the repair upfront, and waited at home for their call that my car was completed.More than an hour passed, and I get a call from the shop saying that the one of the cars belts had coincidentally broken (just as they pulled the car into a repair bay), and it would also need a pulley. (An additional $400+)Confused, but also with very little recourse, I authorized the (additional) repairs, and also instructed them to do an oil change.Several more hours passed, and the car still wasn’t completed. Around 6:30pm (the shop closes at 5), the car was finally complete. But, this time, the owner informed me that the engine was leaking oil. Considerably.By now, as you can imagine, I had reached my wits end. I always anticipate that when smaller repair shops see clients with expensive cars, they tally up a slew of needless repairs to bolster the repair bill. Either creating or exacerbating an oil leak though… that’s a new low.Goodyear has been working on my G-Wagon for months, and they’ve never commented on an oil leak. In fact, as you can see, the car is garaged for literally 95% of its life, and has never leaked oil on the VERY dry garage floor.I’ve already consulted at least two other mechanics for their professional advice, and plan on suing this repair shop for negligence, unlawful/shady practices, and, additionally, the mere exhaustion/frustration of having to drive all over the state getting second/third opinions behind this obviously botched repair.I had read/heard the horror stories about this sordid little enterprise, and the rag-tag gaggle of ill-trained Neanderthals performing Frankenstein-esque surgeries to the unfortunate vehicles that found their crude demise within its tattered, gritty, backwoods walls.Still, I trusted the owner at his word. Perhaps, that’s was my biggest mistake.Beware. Be warned. Be well.P.S. I waited more than a week to write this post, and included photos of how considerably this leak has worsened. Unreal. Never had a single leak until it entered their shop. Just wretched crooks. RUN!

Chris was very helpful to my daughter's Jeep in distress. The ABS system was flipping out due to a speed sensor issue. He was kind, communicative and helpful. My daughter drove up in a bit of a tizzy, he explained what he thought was the issue. He was able to get the Jeep on the rack the next morning and fixed it that day. We will be going back with any future issues. As a Dad out of town, it is much appreciated.

I had a terrible experience coming here. First, there is a diagnostic fee of 65$ dollars for everything including something as small as getting brakes replaced that do not specify before working on your vehicle. Therefore, I paid 65 dollars for a "diagnosis" that I need new brakes when I went into the auto shop and clearly stated that I needed new brakes and exactly where to put them so they never had to do any diagnostic. The diagnostic is almost the same price as the labor which also doesn't make any sense. When I mentioned it to the owner he was very rude about it and basically told me he was going to charge me the diagnosis regardless if they actually did a diagnostic and told me if i don't want work done to my car they will still charge me money for taking the tires off of my car so I couldn't leave the auto shop with out paying for something. He was very unprofessional and rude his name was Jason Woodruff.Service: Brakes

My favorite place for car repair in Oxford. Very polite, accepts cards and they have done great job in my car. Very economical and they tell you upfront how much it’s going to take, before going a fix. The only issue with them is it may take 1-2 days to get the car back.

This is the worst service I ever had! The people are so unprofessional, and literally used duct tape on my car instead of replacing the part. They didn’t even tell me the real issue

I was treated the utmost professionalism.I ordered tires online and had them sent here for mounting and balancing and when the tires arrived 3 days early, they called me and got it done that day. Two days after the work was done, they called to check if everything was working properly. Nobody does that! Great customer service. Thanks Chris.
