Got 12 plastic bags groceries at Walmart none broke, same day got 6 bags of Ramey's 4 broke. They save money by not doubling the bags. Broke a Demonte sliced peaches, in garage. $5. Have not been back. I can take 500 walmart bags over to help with their costs.

9.99 a pound for deli food now 😡, damn plate cost 30 plus dollars now and they adding a food tax on top of that! Go to Wayne Lee's and spend your $!

My family and I have been shopping at Ramey's, formerly Jerry Lee's, for several years. We go in mainly for the convenience of its location and for certain items. We don't usually use the deli, seafood dept, or the hot food line. So this review is not a reflection of those departments, but rather the store in general.
The store has a beautiful and fresh produce and floral dept, the majority of the employees are friendly and a joy to engage with, and the store location is convenient for people living near Ingalls Ave.
However, for us, we have been shopping there less and less due to the following: we've had to stop buying meat, specifically beef, due to black plastic specks we've continuously found embedded in the meat from the packaging. We don't wish to consume microplastics. There is a foul smell near the back of the building that can be pretty awful and off putting when shopping for food, prices are much higher on the items we regularly purchase compared to other stores in the area, and a small few of the checkout employees can be extremely and unnecessarily rude.
For now, we have chosen to only shop at Ramey's if absolutley necessary, but we do hope things improve as they make updates and changes to the store.

Yall the first picture is a pic of how I wanted my son’s cake ! Yall tell me why the lady said that she knew how to do it and didn’t ! If you don’t know what you are doing don’t except the job.!! Y’all she didn’t even call to let us know she couldn’t do it ! It was the day of my son birthday party. And when we picked it up that’s how we knew it wasn’t right!! Not happy and yall really owe us a refund because this isn’t what we asked for ! I didn’t like it and had to settle because my son party was in the next hour ! Crazy !

Deli has some great choices. Smoked ribs and chicken had great Smoked flavor (they must be weighted though ). Fried fish is crispy and juicy on the inside. Peach cobbler and bread pecan pudding is usually the desert options at the end. They also offer main dishes like spaghetti, lasagna, chicken pot pie just to name a few. Store is usually very clean and the staff clean up spills very fast. Please understand that everything is weighted at the register so if your mouth is bigger then you belly then you can expect to pay $$$

I don't know of any other place where you can still make your salad. I wish there were more options on the deli bar that didn't contain meat, such as cabbage and greens. Meatless options aren't a bad thing.

I used to choose this small store primarily because of convenience and availability of driving carts that were almost always kept charged for their customers. Also there are a couple extremely helpful & friendly employees that almost always made it a nicer experience. Lately though , their number of working driving carts have dwindled to TWO & its difficult to find one that's charged.. Sometimes they're forgotten about and out in the parking lot. I am unable to shop unless I have a riding cart so Rameys is no longer a store that I consider for convenience anymore .
