Sit back & relax while reading a good but TRUE (sad) story of how customer service had gone downhill in this area. We had a new front door installed by another local company after a 5 month wait. That is not the point of this story though. We went to Home Depot in Picayune, MS to try & order a new storm door to go with out new front door. Told we would have to wait until the new door was installed so measurements could be taken for ordering the new storm door. We finally got an install date for the new front door & we arranged to have someone come & measure. Once the measurements were taken we went to the Picayune, MS Home Depot & sat down with a consultant in the Mill-works department & ordered the new storm door. The new storm door arrived at the Picayune, MS Home Depot on August 3rd. We set an appointment to have the new storm door installed on August 27th. We were supposed to get a phone call on the 26th of August arranging a time for installation of the new storm door. We did NOT get a phone call on the 26th. We called the morning of the 27th & found out the installer would be here between 2 & 3pm. We rearranged our plans to be home for the installation. We have waited this long we would not miss this opportunity. Once the installer got here he looked at our newly installed front door & realized he did not have brick molding. From the pictures the technician showed us, the measurements were taken before the new door was installed. We need a strip to go between the door frame & the storm door frame. He said he could pick it up at any Home Depot but we would have to make arrangements for another appointment. He did not have the time to run to Home Depot to get what was needed as he was very busy today. Yes at this time we are livid. Is it too much to expect for professionals to know what is needed? This should have been addressed from the get-go if the measurements were taken when they were supposed to be taken. So we got on the phone & asked to talked to THE Store Manager. We were told she was outside with another customer but would call us when she came in. We NEVER got a phone call from the Store Manager. We finally gave up any hope of having this situation being resolved to a satisfactory conclusion with Home Depot & decided to get a refund on all goods & services provided. We loaded up the truck & went the 30 miles round trip to start the process. It took over half an hour more of our time to get the refunds credited back to our account. Yes, that long, even though we had all the paperwork in hand. WHY? The Technician that showed up did help me correct an issue with another storm door & would not accept any tip, just a bottle of cold water. Thanks I know this is very detailed but I really wanted to cover everything to where we would not have too many question.s Enjoy the rest of your day & be careful of where you shop & arrange services from..

I purchased two A/C window units online to pick up at their store. The website listed 11 units available. I came to pick them up and they had zero. They were 'too bad, so sad' and couldn't give a darn. They said that the website inventory is never right, like that was ok. They should not SELL inventory that they do not have. They should be way more customer oriented. They should not accept the poor customer service, but instead are part of it.

Went there to get flexy tape and gorilla tape. The entire staff is very helpful and they helped me to find what I needed and got in and out .

I will not go here again, they ignored my wife after asking for help went back and waited as the customer service lady asked her to. Twenty minutes later still no one she went back to customer service and lady didn't even apologize so she left that was on 8-28-19. I was at work called the store no return call... So Ms Tammy the store manager does not care about her customers so we should not care about her store... Today I went to Slidell Home Depot, a older gentlemen a Veteran was trying to get his discount the cashier was making fun of him and insulted the man... I was very upset, I have a anger issue so I did not speak up, I called 1-800-430-3376 for 43 minutes to find out that I can not go up the food chain. They wanted me to call another number.. Since they won't listen are care enough to get a manger on the phone, Im Here speaking out to all veterans that will help ignore, boycott are call and say where is your customer care, without veterans where would the Home Depot be... Since it's the only one in our town we go there for quite a few things. They do have good sales ,sometimes, especially on cleaning projects. Their garden center is nice, wish they would add a bigger variety and the employees I have asked questions to, either don't know or say they don't have it. And I found what I was looking for anyway. Needs someone to focus on the plants and make sure there in good shape and all the dead pieces are gone. Other than that, I enjoy walking the garden center. And they have a great selection of plant food, root starters, seeds, and pesticides that are safe for the plants.

If you know who to look for you can get good help. My experience in the lumber and sheetrock area have been similar to other reviews. Those guys can disappear fast. I've also had a few watch me load sheetrock and lumber. One guy turned his back and smoked and had the cashier keep a heads up until I was done loading all the rock. Nice touch.Inside almost all the employees are helpful and nice...especially in electrical and lawn and garden. No complaints there.
