Normally stay here through a third party app and was going to make things easier by booking direct with the front desk which turned out to be a mistake. They kept mentioning my credit card was locked and wound up waiting 30+ minutes. I go to a nearby hotel and no problems with my card or check in in less than 2 minutes. Needless to say this is off my list of hotels to stay next time I'm in this area.

My roommate’s parents stayed here and absolutely loved their experience. From cleanliness to customer service - they really enjoyed it. 10/10

This hotel used to be my favorite staycation hotel when I lived in Flowood Pre-Covid. Seem to have gone down— a lot.

The staffing isn’t an issue at this Hyatt, it’s management. Whoever owns this hotel is cheap as hell and it glows. Such a shame because the building is nice and modern, it could be such a nice Hyatt Place in a great location. For the love of me I can’t figure out what’s going on with this Hyatt. The owner of this hotel updated hallways with new carpet and wallpaper yet kept most of the original fixtures and furniture from the first Hyatt Places that ever were, together with even light fixtures. I mean how expensive are those to update? I don’t even know if this building was built during the time that the original Hyatt Place furniture existed, seems much more modern. If it weren’t for the 12x12 tile in the bathroom, I would have thought they just built it a few years ago and then bought furniture used from a Hyatt Place that was remodeling and auctioning their old stuff off for nothing and used that furniture to furnish the newly built hotel ?. I have not found any other Hyatt Place with 12x12 bathroom tile, even the oldest I have been to had usually updated their baths. And while this hotel is not the worst I have seen, anywhere “worse” that I was, the hotel was under pending renovation. This one seems to have completed one, yet is still as old as time. Inside the rooms, they updated the high traffic stuff… carpet floor was changed to laminate and the sofa was updated to the newest style with its ottoman. And an updated TV with updated bath vanity mirror. That’s it. All other furniture is original. Not surprisingly, everything is falling apart. 3/4 outlets under the nightstand didn’t work, alarm clock didn’t work, bath vanity mirror only had half the backlit mirror working, one of the bed lamps didn’t work, the sheets were so washed out that threads were coming out and visible holes were forming, the towels were so used up and washed to death they were paper thin at this point, the pillows felt like they were 30yrs old, shower curtain was missing lots of hooks. AC is a dumpster fire that won’t let you sleep bc it’s probably older than gramps and they keep patching it up. Breakfast was horrible, there was one person there struggling to get it ready microwaving everything. Eggs turned to rock within a matter of minutes of the microwaving. Lots of other typical items missing such as oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, fruit, potatoes, etc etc. Other reviews keep mentioning under staffing, you can’t be understaffed for years… it’s not that. It’s clearly the owner of the property attempting to save money, it shows with how they remodeled the place and how they’re up-keeping it. They are short staffed because the owner doesn’t want to spend the money. Dumb as can be, their cheap nature will make them lose lots of money in the end. Building is such a nice building, this could be an amazing hotel. Shame that Hyatt allows this thing to remain operating the way it is.

Not a good experience here for a multi day business trip. Lots of problems with the room including no hot water one of the days and a hairball in the bed. Gave me a small discount on the room that wasn't even close to compensating for everything. Would not recommend.

These rooms are large and could be decent rooms if they had housekeeping staff! First room they put me in was 304. The door retractor is broken, the room did not have large towels, and the shower was still very much dirty. The room they moved me to, Room 400, was not any better. It lacked wash cloths and the toilet seat was dirty. The front desk staff stated they are having issues with housekeeping and they did not even come yesterday at all. There are towels in the hallway on the floor and things just don't seem sanitary. I wanted to stay but I just can't knowing the hotel has not been properly cleaned.

Location was great, but besides that everything else was not what I was expecting.Front desk was okay…can get a bit defensive when you are simply trying to get clarity on stuff.Did a long term stay and I always dread laundry. There’s one washer and two dryers and it cost 3 dollars to wash and 3 dollars to dry only for clothes to come out smelling funny.Rooms do not have microwaves and everything seemed to be patched up or rusted. The endless feathers that kept coming out of my comforter or pillow became a bit frustrating.

They haven't done any upgrades since it was opened it seems. There's not 1 place in the room to plug a USB device without a box. It's still a good location and decent hotel. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is included and there's a bar and appetizers can be orderedFood & drinks: The area has tons of restaurants.some are in walking distance.

Rooms are very large. You walk into roomy liv rm. Panel separates bedroom however room layout is not to our liking. Sink and makeup area is open to the bed area and you put on the light flanking the mirror the bright light wakes up anyone still in bed. The closet is VERY small and most of it is inaccessible and there are only 3 small drawers for clothes. Night table has no drawers so must keep most clothes in your baggage. Front desk is overworked handling front, bartender duties and cooking small menu items buteach one ive met as as the kitchen and cleaning help are very sweet and helpful. Lobby and rooms are very clean.

The front staff was very welcoming, Anna. The rooms can use some updates for sure. Make sure your door is locked as mine did not. I reported it and spoke directly to the maintenance guy, and they still never fixed it. I was there Thursday- Sunday without a lock on my door. I put the latch on at night, but while gone was risky. We had to keep putting our stuff in the car. Nope, they offered nothing. They were pulling breakfast 30 minutes before shutting down. I expected more and got less. I have no desire to return.Rooms: Need updating.. there was no right temp for the room. It always felt wet. They were spacious thoughSafety: The fact my door wouldn't lock and they didn't fix it.Food & drinks: There is a bar downstairs open until midnight that offer drinks and small bites

Got my room on Hyatt club points, and my room reflected the price I didn't pay. To access the shower or toilet, you need to shove the door open as the door scratches the floor, stand in the corner next to the toilet, and then shove the door closed. The shower sliding glass door didn't slide at all. Altho the shower was quite large and the hot water was readily available and easily adjustable. The bathroom sink drained slowly as if it's clogged. Last room complaint is the closest sliding door does not slide. And there is only one door where there obviously should be two doors. Room A/C unit works well and we had a good nights sleep. Morning breakfast was good altho when we arrived, many parents were standing around waiting for scrambled eggs and bacon. We finally ate after the next serving.

1. We were in a room an encountered a BUG (the biggest bug I have ever seen), we called and they moved us to another room. 2. The new room was very warm and we thought that after turning the air up it would eventually cool off, wrong! That was a miserable night. 3. To top it all off there was a problem with the drains, the face bowl ran out very slow and the toilet never flush out - we had to deal with a dirty toilet. My daughter went downstairs to tell them at the front desk, and was told they would send maintenance. He came to check and determined the condenser was gone and stated he would install a new unit as it could not be fixed. 4. My daughter went to speak with the front desk about the situation and asked if there would be some type of compensation for our troubles and the G M Courtney Adock stated that there would not be any compensation and they were not fixing the A C and not moving us because they could not satisfy us. 5. She stated that she had called the Towne Place and they had two rooms and we would be able to go over there for the same rate. That was a completely false. She never called, there were no rooms available and she proceeded to walk behind my daughter and I as we were going out of the door - yelling, leave now! All because we made a complaint about the things we had encountered and asked for some form of adjustment for our problems. I can't believe that Hyatt operates like this!! Has G M's/Owners ( She stated that she was the owner). I have stayed there on two other occasions, this would have been third time and it is the final time I will stay there.Hyatt was a reputable chain!!

They had these moldy cakes in the same storage with the same food they was serving/selling and I like Hyatts but this did it for me along with having to witness customer verbally attack a black rep and the white rep that was there with her made it seem like she was in the wrong for standing her ground against the guest. I think the food thing is really bad to see as a person who loves to buy hotel food. But the entire experience wasn’t all that.

The rooms are nice, I just hate that we didn't get room service. But Ced the front counter agent was amazing. It seem like he was always there because they may have been under staffed. But he never complained. He worked all of the areas and was very sweet , kind and passionate about it. He always keep a smile on his face, even under all of the pressure from a full hotel. I will come back because of him people like him?
