Visited this past September. Nice place. Fitness center was in a state of disarray. Broken ceiling fans. Lights not working. Pieces of ceiling tile on the floor. There was a floor fan but the motor seized after turning it on. Maybe in the middle of a renovation? Seemed like it had some potential. I'll be back again. Hopefully the gym is in better shape then.

I have stayed here numerous times with an alarm clock which also has a usb for a charger. Today I get room 300 which does not have an alarm clock or a usb at all in the room. I ask for one and they say sorry we took the alarm clocks out of the room. What?! Why?! They didn’t give a reason other than they Took them out. So unless you bring a charger and a block. Don’t rely on an alarm clock to get you up for work. They do wake up calls now which have failed me before. Rooms are outdated and ran down. Comes with a fridge but no microwave and now the alarm clock is gone. Not very friendly here either. Diamond elite member

This exceeded my expectations! The rooms were nicer than I expected. The lobby, casino, and public areas were nicely done and very clean. All the employees I met were friendly and helpful. The restaurants all looked updated and new. The food at the steak house was the star of the trip!

lt's been about sevens, l decided to check them out again. The room is nice, but you cannt walk around and enjoy the hotel. The smoke is this hotel is ridiculous. l was suppose to be on nonsmoking 3th floor. l was visit again l have respiratory problem and it upsett . You can't breath, even trying to play the smoke is every where. Not a bigg selection to eat, no veggie, just fried food or burgers. This hotel needs to be cleans, shut different floors down, steam clean the carpet to get the smoke out. No valet parking, this the first l have ever stayed with two star hotel, because of the smoke problem, they can be a motel, not hotel.Walkability: l was close to elevator due knees

Current building only a shadow of what the casino hotel was like a decade ago. Had to pay for upgrade but room did not appear significantly better than original room with maybe the space for couch. Phone did not work so could not call for additional towels (or help). Room for four only came with two towels. Expect walls with scuffs, panels in disrepair, and unpolished features that come from years of lack of care or updates. Beds were comfortable. Casino was quiet with limited dining options. No more buffet. Burger bar did not accept dining credit. Price of meal appeared to be $20 per person in other venues on site, except steak house. Slots seemed dated and quiet. Table games were ok. Nothing like Caesar’s properties in Vegas.

My wife and I arrived Sunday March 10 and departed Wednesday March 14th. We had a handicap room right near the elevator which was Great- the room could use a update — one whole wall was empty, could use a small round table and 2 chairs— room needs more working outlets.——- Went to the new Guy Fieri restaurant for breakfast, well I knew I was in trouble when the waitress asked me how I want my eggs and I say Poach, and the waitress says that the cooks don’t know how to make them - so I settle for over easy, the breakfast potatoes were ice cold and the waitress had to get me more— the biscuit no doubt tasted like store bought— the grits were lumpy and had a solid chunk of grits on the bottom —- my wife had 2 waffles which should be light and airy for taste, instead they were solid and were heavy as a brick — the waitress was slow and acted like she didn’t want to be there — over priced food——— The Burger Bar was good— the cocktail waitress’s were fast and friendly —- the casino was nice but could use more poker slots—- all table games don’t open till late afternoon- but did have friendly dealers —- all in all we did enjoy ourselves and will return for our 54th Anniversary in October of this year —

Normally stay at Gold Strike with no complaints. Thought I'd give Horseshoe a try. Arrived front desk 1:45 pm (never a check in issue at Gold Strike). Very surly woman told me could not check in until 2 unless I wanted to pay $33 extra. Sat down across lobby for 15 minutes and went to try again. Same surly woman immediately told me no rooms were ready and to come back at 4pm. I said I would just cancel and go to Gold Strike. I did and was in room by 2:15. Wow. No more Horseshoe for me. Hotel or casino.

It's away from everything. The rooms are clean. The out lets in my room wouldn't hold my laptop plug and the plug kept falling out. There is no desk and one chair in a 2 person King room. I was trying to work from the location for a bit, so it was inconvenient, I should have done more research, I guess. They have a limited wifi unless you want to pay by the day.. There is a Starbucks, it is open 6 to 2 p.m. ? we didn't hit any jackpots in the evenings runny around. It also has a fantastic little Chinese place inside. We both really liked it. It wasn't cheap, but we have paid for worse.Rooms: There is a fridge, no coffee, TV and 1 chair in our King. Ironing board and iron. 1 garbage can and a narrow, tall sofa type table with a safe.
