I would pass by Syntax when I lived in Saltillo. It’s right on Main Street in town. Easy to get to and a great lady runs it. She went above and beyond when I had to look up some back taxes for my divorce. I moved away but my son stayed behind. I told him to go there and he didn’t want to go. After he went he said Jean was a very nice lady who knew her job. Now they are Facebook friends and my son is very picky when it comes to being friends with anyone on the internet. She charges way less than other places and I was never in there very long. I usually went on Saturdays. Love Syntax!!!!

The owner of Synta, located on Mobile Street in downtown Saltillo, Lee County, Mississippi lets non-custodial parents, who owes 10s of 1000s of $$$ in back child support and have not exercised visitation with their child, nor have they contributed 1single little copper cent to support the child, claim said child as a dependant on their tax returns in order for the taxpayer to collect EIC(earned income credit) and to reduce their tax debt. She is known to have done this EVEN AFTER THE CUSTODIAL PARENT, who btw is providing 100% of the child's needs, has contacted her and provided her with the most current and correct Order of the Court. By doing this, she has caused the custodial parent to be unable to claim the EIC deduction for their child that they provide 100% of the care for. I think it's VERY WRONG to allow a non-custodial parent claim said child on their tax return when that parent hasn't provided a single penny to meet the child's physical needs nor has he even bothered to see his child regularly as ordered by the Court and provide ANY emotional needs the child had. Yet, the owner of Syntax, continues to do this year after year after year. It's quite obvious when your income is EXTREMELY LOW that it's just not financially possible to provide for a child. The IRS is so bogged down with HIGH VALUE cheaters that these allegedly dishonest tax preparers and taxpayers aren't even investigated by the ITS even after theyve been provided with the legal documents supporting the claim of corruptness by the prepared and the individual who is cheating the US Treasury and more importantly the innocent child. Just remember, that child will go without for 2 reasons, #1 being the child didnt receive his/her court ordered child support of $42 weekly NOR was the custodial parent who provides 100% for all the child's need to claim the Earned Income Credit which they legally have a right to claim. It's very likely the monies received thru the EIC IS the money that will buy that child's clothing for the calendar year or cover the light bill for that year so the child has a warm and safe home. In my opinion, the type of behaviour exhibited by this businedd owner and others like her is nothing more than GREED and she has NO REMORSE for that innocent child doing without. As for a parent that claims a child they cannot legally claim as a dependant and do so anyway, well that's a darn good reason to lock them up in jail!. IF our country worked as doggedly on taking care of the children of the US citizenship instead of locking up people with mental issues that need psychiatric treatment we need to be getting those sufferimg from this terrible disease the help to receive downè tra
