Horrible experience at the Southaven, MS Goodwill on today!!! I shop at this Goodwill often for over 6 years now and today I made a purchase and normally the cashiers are great about repeating your total and asking to round up but this particular cashier was too busy talking to her coworker about some activities that have happened outside of work... The item I grabbed I honestly thought was a lower price (I misread the first number) but when I seen the total, it was several dollars higher than what I expected and my card was already charged. So, I asked for a refund right then and there. I was told by someone who was not the store manager that they can't give refunds when they SURELY CAN for for mistakes... It's a couple of new managers there at this location and I got the run around (nearly insulting my intelligence) about the return policy --- mentioning they couldn't do anything anyhow until someone from IT is back in the store the next day to roll back the tape (to verify that the cashier didn't repeat my total). Then I was told a lie about the store manager not being there physically when I asked for them moments earlier, but it turned out the store manager clearly was there and eventually came over to regurgitate the same info that the lower level manager told me about the return policy. So, instead of resolving the issue and having any empathy, I ended up leaving feeling undervalued, when a simple mistake could have been easily resolved since I shop there frequently. Meanwhile you have a cashier and their coworkers distracting each other with frivolous conversations because had the cashier repeated my total I would have caught the mistake.

It had a huge selection of board games unfortunately i had most of them already or was not interested in the ones that they had there and a few were overpriced for me but maybe there's something for somebody else to snag for a good deal

Was at this location earlier today and before I lay down I want to give a 5 star reviewto Southaven and the young man manager who came and helped get the line down, because it was very long. He was so professional and moved the line so fast and greeted everyone and thanked us for being patient because it was very busy with customers in the stor. Loved his customer service.

Just hear to tell you a conversation I overheard. Customer asked for a price of something, tag was found saying 3.99. Manager then said she wanted it and priced it for him at 119$. These things are given to goodwill as a donation how can you price something so high. Of course she did so because she knew he wouldn’t buy it at that price. I thought that was the most selfish thing I’ve ever seen. While she was laughing, the employees looked embarrassed. How many times has that manager done that. Other than that, the other employees were super nice.

I have been to several Goodwill’s and this on numerous of times on stateline. The new male manager I think his name was Chaz was a breath of fresh air! He had the best customer service I have witnessed anywhere. He greated me and my family plus other people while training a young lady, walked the aisle asking did we find what we were looking for. If I could give 10 stars he should get it! Great job with this new hire Goodwill!!! I will be at this location more often now.

I wish I would’ve took pictures but right now they have two dressers up there one of the dressers. The drawers is literally hanging out out of it. They’re selling it for $60 The other one ain’t in no better condition then they have like I want to say either is a computer desk or a vanity, but the wood on it is so dry rotted that is literally falling apart and they’re selling it for 40 bucks at least fix it or don’t put it out there for sale their beds used $130 when you can buy a brand new one from Walmart for 60

This location has a great book selection and a huge selection of children's clothes at good prices, so we love to shop here. The prices on some items are a little out of line, but others are great deals, so you just have to be willing to look and leave some things behind in favor of others. My biggest issue is that it's always HOT in this location, so we never stay as long as we would like to because it gets uncomfortable pretty fast.

You can find some treasures if you look around long enough for a fair price. It's always fun to shop at a goodwill.
Some things are overpriced, but that's expected.

It's always hot in this location. I feel bad for the employees as the temperature has got to make for a miserable work day. I personally can never shop as long as I like because it's hot. They used to play a very good radio station that had classic songs that no one should find offensive and could only lighten the mood. NOW! Who knows what station they have it on but it's turned up and more static than melody. It's as if the people in charge want everyone to be miserable who works or shops there for that matter.
As for pricing... I dont get it. YALL are pricing as if people are not in here buying used items or maybe defective new items. Lately it seems more wise to shop at Marshall's or tj max as alot of things are priced higher here. Alot of things require washing and there is no recourse if something should go wrong that's why you all should not be pricing your shoes so high for example. I see we can't get a deal on paper plates or dollar tree items either so ya might as well buy it new. I feel like I might as well shop used items online instead of here cuz it is cheaper even with shipping plus the items are cleaned up and not broken. I can't believe how many items yall sell that are broken yet priced as if they were not. Unfortunately sometimes I have bought items and got them home to find they were taped together and hiding where things were broken which seems highly intentional.
So please tell me what is so good about goodwill?

This Goodwill has gotten outrageous. It used to be really great but it’s gone downhill since thrifting has become more trendy. The pricing is obscene especially furniture and clothes but even just Knick knacks and frames too. I used to love this store but now I take my business elsewhere. It’s also extremely picked over.
