Yesterday was my 1st time at a JCPenney salon. My stylist was Tazsa and she was absolutely amazing! My hair was rough going in and perfection coming out. She worked with me to learn my hair goals. She did a fantastic job cutting my hair. The wash and conditioning literally put me to sleep because it felt so good. She styled my natural hair so pretty and showed me how to maintain it until my next visit. I will definitely be coming back and have already started referring others. Thanks again Tazsa!

I had an appointment that was made 9 day in advance to have my hair cut and foiled. My appointment was for 9:30 a.m. on 6/16/22 I arrived about 15 minutes early and was told my stylist would arrive shortly to let me into the store. About 10 minutes later a store employee came out to tell me that no employees would be at the salon until 2 p.m. I showed her my confirmation for my appointment and she relayed the message to her manager who contacted the salon manager. A few moments later another employee came out to tell me that nobody would be arriving for my appointment and apologized for the inconvenience. They did give me the option to call back later or tomorrow to reschedule but I will not be doing so considering how the matter was handled by the salon manager. If there was a issue with the scheduling or the salon technician the manager should have contacted me directly or came directly to the store to preform the scheduled appointment. If I could give less than 1 star I would! I'm very upset not only about the fact that now I cannot have my hair done for another week else where but also at how the situation was handled by the salon manager. The store employees were polite and tried to be helpful and I'm thankful for that but that was truly the only good experience in this case.Services: Hair coloring

This department store is so slow I order a pick up and got in line and the lady was calling all pick ups to come forward when I ask to check up on my pick up order they wanted me to get back in line for no reason for regular check out when they were calling or pick up people to come forward never spend my money at this location!!!

Sha at JCPenny's Hair Salon in Southaven, MS is an amazing stylist! Since she has been caring for my hair, it has grown a great deal in length and it is much healthier than it's ever been. I pray that JCPenny's hair salon in Southaven, MS NEVER closes!

Called salon Saturday to inquire about Monday hours, was told they were open till nine pm. I showed up with my son at 5:45 and no one was there. Managers paged for stylist on duty but they were a no show. When I went back next day, manager of salon said I was lying, her staff was always available. I told her to call both store managers on duty from previous night. She put my son with stylist who was supposed to be there night before, and she started to give my son a high and tight; which is not what I asked for. I corrected her, she had attitude. But last time I visited salon, the stylist was awesome, gave my son the best haircut, and I was Impressed, as I was a few times before. I will not let one bad stylist keep me from here, just watch if you do not know them. I will request stylist I like in future. I also like hours of operation, I work long hours, so I appreciate nights when they are open late.

Couldn't even make an appointment... Jackie was so loud and obnoxious yelling and laughing into the phone with Karen while I was trying to make my appointment.... why is this place still open?!
