I went Lowes for a very very simple project. Queen bed slats. Micheal was there and immediately helped me locate the wood I needed. I wasn't sure if it would fit the measurements I needed so when I went to check out I asked one lady about the wood I was purchasing and was told they didn't know anything other than 'all they do is sell wood'. I almost walked out without anything until Michael further helped me understand that you have to cut the wood yourself. That's all I needed to know. So simple :/ Thank you Michael for being so kind to actually listen to understand, really.

Rihanna at customer service was EXTRAORDINARY! She has the best attitude!!! Very sweet and helpful!!! She asked me to do a survey but it didnt show up on the receipt but it wasn't on there so I decided she was worth doing one on here for! I hope yall are taking care of her because shes a very sweet young lady !!!

They fired all the older people with knowledge in the store. Now they have a bunch of young people who just want to get a couple hrs and go. There delivery make a mistake and they blame customers.

I had a great curbside pickup experience! Joe, the associate who helped me, was friendly and very helpful. My order was ready quickly—someone brought it out within 4 or 5 minutes of me checking in online. Super smooth and efficient!

Never thought I’d experience racial profiling until this past weekend.
While shopping at Lowe’s in Starkville, I kept hearing “Code 5” being called repeatedly — all because I’m a Black man with two carts full of large items. Instead of receiving help, I was watched, followed, and blocked at the exits. I noticed other customers freely leaving without any issues, but when it was my turn, they demanded to check my receipt — even though everything was rung up by the cashier.
Let this be a reminder: never judge a book by its cover. I came to shop, not to be stereotyped. Lowe’s needs to do better.
Alvin is an older gentleman, and honestly, a character all on his own. But let’s be clear— I work in the corporate office for my company, and I’m far from a dummy. I saw right through your behavior.
As for your co-worker, the cashier, I’m not sure why she felt the need to profile me as well. But it’s cool— I’ve seen enough. In fact, I just sold my Lowe’s stock because this situation made it clear that proper training and leadership are lacking at your store.
I actually run a consulting firm on the side and provide professional training— if Lowe’s ever wants to improve in areas like bias, customer experience, or leadership, feel free to reach out.
Alvin, if you want to be a leader, you’ve got to do better. This won’t be the end of it. I plan to escalate this through the proper channels and make sure it gets the attention it deserves.

Got accused of stealing by an employee, patted down, went to manager and they then accused me of stealing but said I put the items back before I was caught. Will never return especially after I spent almost 400 dollars on lumber during my visit. All I got was a simple apology

Poorly managed. Delivery/fulfillment will schedule you, have you wait hours for the window of delivery, and then not show up. They never call to plan or apologize. Delivery manager, Wesley or whatever is extremely negligent and has no idea to do his job. There is no line of communication between managers. I do business with every lowes within 20 miles and this is by far the worst ran one. Managers are never there. They don’t take any accountability. They say box trucks are not available then make you wait over a week for flat bed delivery which never shows up only to them put it all on a box truck. It’s almost better to use local stores or the Columbus location.

They seriously need to train their employees in people skills. I meet more rude people in red vests than any other place in Mississippi. Don't even try to call they pick up and send you to the department you need, and no one answers. If they do answer, they are short with you and don't have a clue about what you're asking. I gave 3 stars because they give military discounts.
