The Simmons - Wright Company is a Southern family restaurant and antique store within a historic general store started in 1884. It is a piece of history off the beaten path, offering local fare and old southern hospitality. The unfussy food is really good, with highlights like a delicious pimento burger, amazing catfish, fried okra, and pecan candy. The service is great, making everyone feel welcomed as if at someone's home. Guests can browse the antiques, listen to the history, and gather around family dinner tables. It is a wonderful experience and a must-visit, providing a simple, welcoming step back in time.
Interesting walk back in time along with good conversation with down to earth owners. Although I didn't dine there, I did purchase a bottle of their private recipe BBQ sauce to try later.

It’s like taking a walk back in time and you wont see stuff like this anywhere? It’s like times stood still and was frozen and an earlier time. Super friendly sweet people really enjoyed the sandwich and cold drink great prices as well

Out of way, “general” store with good food and friendly owners and locals. They’d do better to clean it up some and organize a place to buy current to today merchandise but they are having fun and it is worth the stop.
