This is a run-of-the-mill off-ramp convenience store, nothing especially noteworthy, and it wouldn't normally even be worthy of comment... if it wasn't for the astoundingly surly staff. Here it was at noon on a Sunday, business was brisk. However, one of the clerks took it upon herself to close BOTH restrooms simultaneously "for cleaning", taking her sweet time, and when the lines for folks waiting for the restrooms got long enough, stopped her cleaning work to tend to a cash register... restrooms still closed. Asking when a stall would be available received an ugly stare and barely a grunt. She eventually went back and forth between the cash register and the restrooms. Oh, by the way, she was handling food at the cash register, too. There was another counter clerk who was absolutely swamped and I could understand her foul mood handling the growing crowd, but a third was hiding in the office, appeared once to clear a register, and went back into hiding again. I had to go, and right now. I pushed back the "closed" pylon, finished some of the cleaning job for her, did my business, cleaned again, and left. The three ladies at this store should not be dealing with the public. I could guess the "taking applications" on the marquee was ironic understatement.
