Nice place right on the Trace, we were on our bicycles and there aren't many places close to the trace like this. Food is good and the atmosphere is top notch. When we were there it took a long time to get our food which would be my only complaint but in today's economy you have to expect that sometimes. Overall a nice value/experience.

portions were VERY SMALL compared to the price. Food is considerably over priced. Had to ask for refills each time, entree did not come out with everything listed on the menu.

Passing through while on motorcycles heading to Texas via back roads.WHAT A GREAT SPOT!!Stopped for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. Excellent, quaint, and quiet spot in what felt like the middle of nowhere. Service was excellent, can't remember the waitress's name, though. I had the BLT and my buddy had the prime rib sandwich. My BLT was delicious with plenty of B, L & T! My buddy enjoyed his sandwich and bread pudding. We both agree we'd stop again, in a heartbeat, if we ever pass through French Camp on the Trace in the future. The delicious lunch provided us with just the right amount of calories to make it to Natchez that evening.

What a wonderful little gem to discover while driving the Natchez Trace Parkway. We spotted it in reviews before the trip but were also told at a Trace information center that it was a lunch stop we should not miss. So very right! The food was outstanding, as was the atmosphere at the log structure's outdoor tables. Great place to have a leisurely lunch on a lovely October day. The turnip greens were the best I've had in years, a reminder of my Georgia childhood, and the catfish was indescribably good. This place is definitely off the beaten path, but it's well worth a stop for anyone enjoying the slow drive along the Trace.

Had the Mississippi Mud Pie and ice cream and coffee. The coffee was delicious. The cake was like a soft brownie with pecans and marshmallows. The service was great. Pay and exit through the gift shop.

Stopped for lunch before checking in to stay at the B&B. Blue late special of catfish was ok. Wife's bunless burger was good. Returned for dinner at 6. A few other tables occupied. Ah hour later still waiting on dinner. One cook working. Waitress did not know if they served coffee. Figured out they did but didn't know if they had creamers. Found some half and half and ask if that was ok. Coffee was ice cold and prob left over from breakfast. 20 minutes later got a hot cup of coffee. 90 minutes after arrival found out they had neither the baked potato or potato salad we ordered. Chef salad came out with almost no ham, turkey, cheese, or bacon. Sent back after three bites. No manager or supervisor present or available. Three young girls working and none with any authority. But they were trying. If I could do less than star I would.

I have been here several times and have never had a bad meal. Service is as good as it gets. Their lunch specials are great, just check to see what they are having and choose your day. Their afternoon and evening meals are different and they are as good as the lunch is. About time for another visit.

We must have been there on a bad day. The service was horrible. After we waited a time to be seated, We had to wait again to place our orders. My partner received his sandwich quickly and was almost finished when I asked again about my grilled chicken salad. They said they had to wait to cook the chicken for some reason. I changed it to a chef salad where they didn't have to cook the meat, and after another prolonged wait, it was brought to me with no knife to cut it. When I asked for one, sometime later I was brought a little paring knife. We were on a tight schedule, so I had to choke it down quickly. They didn't even offer a discount at the end of the meal for all the trouble they put us through. Never again.

Worth the search. This restaurant is near the French Camp Academy. Blue Plate Special Mon-Fri. Deserts are very good. Reasonably priced. Gift shop is pretty cool. Plenty of parking. If you don't know where it is, ask a local, Plenty of pedestrians in the area. It's a project of the Academy. I went twice. On the way up the Natchez Trace and on the way back down.

What a wonderful spot! Right off the Trace, this seemingly small spot opens into a beautiful eating area with a cozy fireplace and dreamy outdoor seating option. The BLT and Club are set apart from all the others you’ve had because they use homemade bread and a house garlic mayo. We subbed onion rings and they might be the best I’ve ever eaten! I would also 100% recommend the broccoli salad- just try it and then go to the gift shop and buy the recipe cards!Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp up to the front door.

Friend said the cheeseburger and Mississippi Mud Cake were the best ever had. My catfish plate (cornmeal/corn flour breaded) was similarly outstanding. Very sweet wait staff do a great job. There is also a gift shop with crafts and interesting food items for sale (i.e., frog jam, apple butter, cookies, chocolates). The setting can't be beat! Highly recommend this stop on the gorgeous, historic Natchez Trace.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free breaded catfish

Food was good, we got a burger, broccoli salad and dessert to share. The Ultimate burger was GREAT and the dessert was the best part!! Atmosphere was really nice and well decorated inside. Cute little giftshop that had handmade goods etc. We love French Camp and we will be back to eat next time we stay!
