Assistant manager was pretty quick to dismiss my situation, without really trying to help me. I have been banking with Commerce for almost 20 years. Won’t go back to this one.

It was my first time at this bank. I came to open an account, and I was very pleased with how professional and friendly Michelle was. I didn't take any appointments, I simply showed up to open a checking account, and the process took less than 45min.

I just went thru the drive thru to deposit a check. It has been a while that I actually went inside to do any business. That experience was less than satisfactory when there were few to wait on people and we all stood around until a rep could take care of us.However, this Fall I went to the Big Bend Commerce to get Eruo's for a trip to Italy. That rep was very helpful and gave good suggestions.

Complete joke of a branch. They would not allow me to order a small amount in a foreign currency without giving them my employment details. The manager stated it had to do with money laundering. How is it money laundering if it is coming out of my account? After I refused they said they would have to talk to their legal team. I also told them to just put “unemployed”. They said I could certainly do that. (Though they were not happy with that). So if I can just lie about it and you’re not going to verify, why do you need to know? It is none of your business where I work. I ended up going to the Clayton branch and they were awesome. No paperwork, no questions about employment. Just a simple transaction.

Commerce Bank is my jam. I've had an account with them for over 20 years. They are always willing to help fix my accounting errors, assist with difficult questions and each and everyone of the employees is extremely nice.
