I’m nine weeks in and wish I would have started sooner. First, I appreciated that it wasn’t about making my life all about CrossFit, but rather introducing CrossFit workouts into my already busy life. There wasn’t anything intimidating about joining and the 5am classes fit nicely into my schedule. Second, when my body was tired and sore (because I was so out of shape) the coach’s main priority was my recovery. They encouraged me to slow down and workout smart. Lastly, I left today’s CrossFit open workout feeling part of a team. Everyone was competing against themselves, encouraging others, and celebrated the workout completion together afterwards. Happy to show up three times a week!

At first I was very intimidated of joining a CrossFit gym, but I joined CrossFit Ballwin and was shocked by the welcome I received. My first class started with a break down of the workout, demonstration of complex movements such as Olympic lifts, and personal coaching to improve technique that would overall decrease injury while increasing output. The workout ended with multiple members of the community helping pick up my weights, congratulating me for giving the workout my all, and chatting with me like we had been friends for the past 5 years even though I had just met them. The community at CFB is the key to helping me stay consistent. I have never felt better and I have new friends that I would’ve never met without CFB. I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to find consistency and results!

The community that CrossFit Ballwin has built over the years is like no other. The coaches are the best, always watching and offering minor adjustments to my lifting technique, or lack there of haha ?. I’ve felt like family since the day I walked in the door back in 2019. I’ve never felt out of place, out of my league or uncomfortable with the members and the coaching staff. It’s been my happy place for the last 5 years.I just completed the FACT Challenge and I must say, it was an amazing 6 weeks experience. It was motivating, inspiring and challenging in a good way.I’ve tried other gyms over the years, but CrossFit Ballwin is hands down the best, most inclusive gym I’ve ever been associated with.

This gym has a special place in my heart. I’ve belonged to a few other CrossFit Boxes but nothing made me feel more at home than CFB. The members are fun and welcoming and the coaches are knowledgeable and supportive. You build personal relationships with both the members and coaches while getting 1 on 1 support from their team. Truly the best community to be a part of. Going to CFB and working out is the highlight of my day.

CrossFit Ballwin has such a great community! Everyone is so friendly and the coaches are great. I’ve been a member since November 2021 and am happy to have CFB as my home gym. The workouts are challenging, the coaches are knowledgeable, and the members are energetic and respectful. I can modify the movements when I need to. In the last 2 years I have seen progress in all of my movements and overall health. Such a great decision to join this gym!!

CrossFit Ballwin is an amazing gym with coaches and owners who are kind and CARE about their members! They are always willing to explain a movement or exercise again and have always been willing to help me find an alternative way to do something if I need to! Ive been to many CrossFit gyms but this is by far my favorite! They have build a great community of people who make everyone feel welcome and at ease, you can tell it’s more than a business to them and you’re more than just a member. I hadn’t been in a while and recently received an email asking to meet up for coffee with one of the owners ( Ninette ) which I thought was so kind!! I took her up on it and hearing all the new things they have planned for the gym got started back up! If you’re considering a gym in this area give them a try, you will not regret it!!

I’ve been a member at CrossFit Ballwin for over 4 years. My body has never felt better both physically and emotionally. Without the knowledgeable and caring coaches, I would not have been able to successfully workout through two entire pregnancies (38 weeks and 39 weeks). I’m held accountable by the friends I’ve made there and the coaches. CrossFit is for any skill level, all you need to do is listen to your body!

I was 40, with zero experience, when I walked in CrossFit Ballwin for the first time. The qualified coaches I’ve had helped me to adapt to the workout. Six years later I’m stronger and healthier, physically and mentally.Friendly and supportive community.Highly recommend!

I joined CrossFit Ballwin when I moved to the area about six years ago. I was impressed with the coaching and loved the community. Over the years I have made many friends as well as maintained my mental health while improving my fitness. This is a great gym!

CrossFit Ballwin has been an amazing addition to my healthy life style. I had lower back problems 10 years ago and was going to the chiropractor regularly to keep the pain away. I ask the doctor how do I get away from seeing him all the time. He told me get stronger. I took his advice and joined CrossFit Ballwin. I’m up to four times a week and in the best shape of my life thanks to the great coaches and supportive community of CFB.

I’ve been a member of CrossFit Ballwin for 7 years and I’m in the best shape of my life. When I started CrossFit I was a little older than most and had never stuck with any other fitness program. The coaches are so supportive and encouraging that kept me coming back. Everything is scalable, you work to your own abilities. The owners (past and present) have created a welcoming space for all, it’s a great community.

Here's a long one. I held off writing this review out of respect, but the amount of disrespect I received recently was just too much to not write this. I was a member of CFB for two years, my husband four. When I started I immediately realized that the (then) owner was a bully to his members. He pushed people too hard and encouraged people to do painful things in their workouts stating that you can't get stronger otherwise. He made fun of people's cultural differences and made disrespectful remarks toward women. I chose to keep going, thinking the workouts were good for me. I enjoyed working with some of the coaches and other members but always felt unwelcome, as I was never included on their "anniversary board", even though my husband was. The (now) owner, the original owner's wife was always very friendly to my husband and less so with me. I attributed this to my having called out her husband for his unprofessional behavior early on. My husband is too non-confrontational to have said anything, but we've had many conversations about how we both felt that things weren't right. Now with multiple double shoulder injuries and many slipped discs between the two of us, we have both been told by physical therapists and orthopedists that CrossFit was the worst thing we could have done to our bodies. Fair enough - not a good reason to write a bad review seeing as we chose to do it. We stopped going once we realized this. But - going back to the friendliness of the (now) owner, my husband had been receiving multiple emails from her stating that she missed seeing his (and only his, not mine) face in the gym, each of which he's chosen not to respond to. The most recent one, however, was an offer to meet up and buy my husband a drink, which was very obviously a blatant attempt at a date. After I confronted her about this, she attempted to cover her tracks by trying to gaslight me into thinking that the email was supposed to have gone to all of their former members and that it was a mistake that I was not included in it. I guess this woman thinks I am an idiot for not believing that she meant to send a message requesting to buy each and every one of her former members a drink, individually. She even tried to send a screenshot of her messages to prove that point, which incidentally clearly proved that those messages went only to my husband. Not sure what kind of weird relationship she and her bully husband have, but my husband and I want nothing to do with it. We are done with CFB forever and always. Do yourself a favor and choose a different method of working out, especially a different facility.
