I was standing in line and one employee, do not know if it was a boss or just another employee, was saying stuff to the older employee about how she had to do some of her work every morning and she’s told her so many times and so on. Right in front of me and my daughter. First off, that was embarrassing to the older lady, you don’t do that or say that in front of customers. I felt like telling the older one its ok and then looking at the you get one and telling her that it was unprofessional. I wouldn’t be surprised if the older one quit. Belton Mo

The hours posted on the door for the grooming center says open until 6pm. This is false. They stop taking walk-ins whenever the girls feel leaving. It's ridiculous. If you want to leave before 3pm everyday then just post on the door that you're only open until 3pm.

Paid 20 dollars to experience the worst pet wash ever. The shampoo button didn’t even work no shampoo was being distributed through the water no suds no smell it was just water. The blow dryer had less power than my at home hair dryer for my own hair. I took a video but it will not let me upload it only pictures. This location did not have bottles of shampoo and conditioner or aprons like the Columbia location. It was a waste of time and money. We decided to just towel dry him and take him to the groomer at the Grandview petco location.

Was looking to adopt a cat from Petco. I went in and the worker said I couldn't adopt because the paperwork would put up past the time they close. I was upset but going to come back the next day once I was off work, I don't know why they don't do holds when I was ready to pay that moment and come back to do paperwork since the employee wasn't willing to at the time.
I left work early to come and try to adopt the cat since the employee was not willing to the day prior, to find out the cat had been adopted already by the time I got there.
Very upsetting, and poor customer service.

I had an incredibly upsetting experience at Petco. After purchasing a frog and returning it the same day, I was racially profiled by the staff. The associate initially had no issue with my return, but the moment my companion and I discussed the alarming number of dead fish in their tanks (over 70!), their demeanor completely changed.
The manager, Kailey, instructed the associate to treat us differently, clearly targeting us based on our race. This behavior is unacceptable and deeply hurtful.
Not to mention we were followed out of the store by an older geezer that was shouting at us saying our skinoil was killing the fish not their negligence. Very odd behavior, will be filing a police report for the harassment
Additionally, the state of the store is alarming. The tanks were full of dead fish, and it’s clear there is a serious problem with animal care here. This is not just poor management—it’s outright neglect and abuse.
I cannot recommend this Petco location to anyone who values respect or humane treatment of animals. This was an infuriating and heartbreaking experience.

To Miss.Haley the alleged”customer” who witnessed us be “rude to the workers” you don’t need to act as if you were a customer, just state you’re an employee. :)
you left a review two second after I did, 2 hours after the accident. (No calculator needed to connect the dots)
I originally was going to just leave the review until I saw the fake review
I decided to call customer support the following day.
I was informed I was not the first customer to call about targeting and bad behaviour from associates from this location. Very sad.
I do hope the management was changed and the staff was trained correctly. It was clear in the moment, I was not the only person that experienced this treatment and the phone call with customer service solidified it.
doing simply too much, expect for your jobs.
Like we had told you when you accused of us killing 70+ fish who were clearly dead for days. (A 5 year old with a half a Brain would know that wouldn’t add up)
“The water shouldn’t be coving the vent, it’s sucking the fish in and killing them”.

Tara Melody a customer who just left a nasty review, I just witnessed being very rude to the workers at Petco making me totally upset and embarrassed for the employees at Petco. She accused them of racially profiling (which I hate it when people falsely accuse people of) when she was just told to quit putting her hands in the tank. I mean who does that? That is what's killing the fish which she was told. That is completely and totally disgusting and filing a false police report is illegal and a waste of time.

I went looking to have my dog bathed and they told me it couldn't be done, apparently it was because I don't speak English but well, I never go to that store.
