About Valley Springs Youth Ranch
Valley Springs Youth Ranch is a facility that provides a structured environment for youth, with experiences that can be both challenging and rewarding. Former residents share that their stays depend largely on personal behavior; those who follow the rules and engage positively can complete the program and move on in a few months, while disruptive or disruptive individuals may face longer stays. The ranch offers various activities such as trail rides, camping, float trips, and a woodshop, which many remember fondly as positive and therapeutic experiences. Staff members, including dedicated figures like Tom Nickum, are noted for their persistent support and influence, often leaving a lasting impression. Some former residents acknowledge that the environment can be strict, with rules and expectations that might seem unorthodox, but believe that adhering to these rules can lead to personal growth. A few past residents reflect on their time there with mixed feelings, recognizing both the difficulties and the valuable life lessons learned. Overall, Valley Springs Youth Ranch is seen as a place that teaches life skills, responsibility, and resilience, aiming to help youth develop in a safe and structured setting.

It doe's just what it's suppose to.. You can tell the bad reviews are from the boys that were uncontrollable and will probably never grow up... If they weren't bad they wouldn't be there in the first place.
