“Kind of becoming a craft hoarder, I can't help it! I do use the materials I get here, but with the Paper Studio 40% off I kinda end up losing my mind. Many of the paper craft materials they have here are MUCH CHEAPER than Michaels. The coupons are nice at Michaels, but the overall craft paper selection is better here.”
“So much product being put out. Soooo many different aisles. I want to go back to see what was unpacked. Christmas stuff was going out and Halloween stuff was 50% off!!!”
“I've been reluctant to make the drive to check this place out. I guess it's just the mileage that deterred me (not that far or long of a drive, honestly). I've been missing out, though. The parking was a little....idk, odd(?) but no real issue. I guess I was just not expecting it to be behind another building. But the signage made it very clear I was in the right location.
When I walked through that door and saw 10+ people sitting at benches, each wrenching away, with models in various states of assembly, doing their thing, in their own little mental world, I was awestruck.
A gentleman at the counter greeted me and immediately grabbed some nitro I had inquired about. Nitro was the sole reason I had made the trip. Before I realized what was happening, I had a mound of RC parts in front of me that had been on my list for weeks, but I hadn't been able to get them from the LHS closer to my house.
The gentleman at the counter discussed possible options for replacement bodies, as my model has been discontinued for some time and has recently been re-marketed with a longer chassis. I felt a little overwhelmed at the shear quantity of bodies they had available. Easily 250+ hanging on the wall.
As I was making the purchase, the announcer called the racers to the track, and I was fortunate to watch some tracktime. I'll definitely be returning to watch, pick up on some etiquette and whatnot, before trying it myself.
Anyway, yeah, they had everything I had asked about. Most items had options or variations I wasnt even aware existed.
I have a 45+ minute drive to either hobby shop, but this one is about 10 miles further than the other. This will be my LHS from now on.”
