JD's is the mechanic you can trust. Great work, fair prices, and lots of explanation and education when needed. Our whole family has been trusting our cars to this shop for decades. We even moved away, but when we need a mechanic, we drive back. They are that good.

Took my silverado in for a repair. I agreed to a quote I was given for the job. JD called a bit later and told me the bill was reduced by half due to the fact it took less time than he anticipated. He could’ve just kept his mouth shut and stuck to the original quote, but he was honest and saved me some money. Hope I don’t need a mechanic very often, but next time I do, I’m taking it here! Friendly and honest!

I’ve gone here since I started driving 15 years ago. I went last week for an oil change and they’re always so kind and honest. They let me know my brakes need to be replaced soon. Looked it up found me the best deal and were scheduled for brakes next week. I would highly recommend them! 10/10! John is awesome and the staff is great!Services: Battery

If I could rate negative stars, I would. Based on the other reviews, I'm not sure how I am the only one to have a negative experience here, or maybe others have and just haven't realized it yet.First off, this place was highly recommended to me by a friend, at the time. At first I thought they were great too. I had a check engine light come on, they diagnosed it as an 02 sensor, replaced it, and solved that problem. Then another time, my car was making loud noises and they diagnosed it as a catalytic converter. Instead of charging me a ton of money to get that fixed, they told me that it was a recall...so my dealership would cover it. That was correct, which totally sold me on how "amazing" this shop was. Then I had my boyfriend take his truck there, and that's when everything went down hill. His truck had intermittent trouble starting in the cold, they held on to it for about a month, and finally said that they thought it might be the ignition coils. So we had paid them to replace those. That didn't work, so they wanted us to bring his truck back up there when it was a more persistent issue. Warm weather came back around, so the truck wasn't having the starting issue anymore. Instead his truck started overheating. Had them look at it, and they said it was the water pump. Paid them to replace that. Truck was still having water pump issues. Took it back up there, convinced that the water pump was still the problem....after they "fixed it"...and was assured that it was not the problem. Took the truck home, pulled the water pump out, and confirmed that the problem was DEFINITELY the water pump. Took the busted water pump back up there, and they agreed that the water pump was bad, so was given a refund for the cost of the part alone. Was out the cost for labor, even though they never fixed it in the first place. Needless to say, we have not done business with them since. Now lets fast forward 3 years of the truck still having problems starting in the cold. After taking it to various shops over the past few years, with no one able to figure it out, we finally found a shop that was able to figure out the issue. Turns out it WAS the ignition coils all along. Furthermore, that shop told us that the ignition coils that they took out had at least 100,000 miles on them...and appeared to be the ORIGINAL ignition coils. Over the past 3 years, he has put 30,000 miles on his truck. So basically J.D's never actually put new ignition coils in the truck. They also never actually put a new water pump in his truck either. Must be nice to sit back and collect money for parts and a service that was never performed. I just hope that this review saves someone else from going through the same thing.
