I am extremely frustrated with the USPS service in Blue Springs. We moved here 5 months ago, and since then I have had to drive to the post office — 5.6 miles from my home and 15 miles from my work — about 6–8 times just to pick up my packages. The reason? The mail carrier constantly leaves a “missed delivery” or “not fit”notice claiming no one was home, even though there is always an adult at the house during the day.
Every other delivery service has no problem delivering packages to my doorstep, but not USPS. In my previous location, if something didn’t fit in the mailbox, the carrier would simply leave it at the door. Here, they just leave a note — and that’s it.
I do not have the ability to go to the post office during their business hours, and every time I have to leave work early to make it before they close at 5 PM. This is incredibly inconvenient, unprofessional, and shows a complete lack of customer care.

dont get a PO box here, they rent out to multiple families at the same time so your always flooded with random mail, not to mention the awkward feeling you get when you go to check your mail and someone is standing there going through your mail as well. NO expectation of privacy!

I want to give a shout out to Grain Valley post office. I had a package that was attempted to be delivered yesterday and I was not here. We were driving back from the Mayo Clinic. I took the card to they left in mailbox because it was medication that needed to be signed for that said to pick it up in Grain Valley. When I got to Grain Valley about 20 mins before they closed She looked it up and said it showing to be in Blue Springs. I go to Blue Springs and I wish I could've gotten her name but the person working the counter she search and searched and said it was not here and called the Grain Valley Post Office for me and they located the package it normally would have been sent to Blue Springs so I truly don't blame anyone. But I was in Blue Springs right at closing and they stayed there because by this time they were alteady closed. They stayed there until I got there coming from Blue Springs to make sure I got my medication. It's people that do those kind things when they didn't have too. They truly needed to be recognized. I aways see complaints about the post office service but I have found if you treat them with kindness they usually return the same type of kindness you show them. Everyone makes mistakes and I have made a lot of them in my lifetime but I am finding that letting the small stuff go and not letting it get to me. Everyone makes mistakes and having more grace and kindness makes for a much happier life. So thank you Blue Springs Post Office and Grain Valley Post office going above and beyond.

The driver will not get out of the vehicle to deliver mail. A car was parked at least 4 feet in front of the bank of mail boxes. Not blocking them at all, but claimed it was.

Kay is the best! She’s fast, friendly and efficient. It’s a busy location and all of the workers do their best to quickly move through lines.

Where does one begin? I’ll spend more energy here, not unlike going to the BSPO. I do not believe I’ve ever dealt with a more inept or organization. Disclaimer; ADT and the tag office are right on par. These places suck the life force out of you, thereby leaving you incapacitated for a bit. Really, it’s a challenge to know where to start. I’ll likely on the skim the surface. First, there’s informed delivery wherein we get pictures of incoming mail and/or packages. So, how so very lovely it is that some of the mail shows up in the mailbox. Some don’t. I do not know WT TtotalF hasn’t showed up in all. I do know a few important items that have NOT been in the mostly lovely locked mailbox. That would be a 6,000$ check and a much needed health card. How in the name of Saint Isabel that all this be, because after reading the other reviews, it would appears others deal with this lovely affair, evidently to no avail. Their disenchantment is understood and felt in full. Why is this so difficult. Why, when I go to the lovely PO can no one legitimately answer my inquiries to any degree. They contact the sender. The sender says contact the PO. UM HELLO, is anyone competent in this world anymore. PO says well you can get ahold of supervisor via…you got it…a beautiful 800 number. I do not even have to explain how that went. Good gawd I need a drink. Notification says 50 roll toilet paper was delivered. Ok that’s nice. How in TF did you put a 50 roll in the mailbox. Clerk says well I don’t know how big your mailbox is. HELLO, it’s not a barn. The short answer is it was NOT delivered. Save yourself some trouble. Use fedex or ups if at all possible. I’m quite hesitant to say my dealings with them have been pretty ok thus far. Glory be a freekin Hallalujer. I don’t have the strength to correct the typos
Todays update: key in mailbox with note and key saying bigger package in bigger box below smaller boxes. There was a package in the bigger mailbox into which the key fit. That is, someone else’s package. Why wouldn’t it be. No earthly reason, evidently.
Update: visited the PO, and the supervisor was nice, apologetic, and emphatic. She personally followed up on one package. Some resolution was made. And it seems not all of the blame goes on our local PO, as other things are in play. So, while still quite frustrating, I take a less harsh stance on our PO. And I thank the supervisor with whom I dealt. I think she’s frustrated too.

It would be great if they would actually answer their phone. Absolutely wild. Packages never arrive on time. Tracking is always inaccurate. You should see the reviews and fix it.
The ridiculous automated system never works. Agent agent. OK I'll tell you about our deal. What is wrong with you.
