This place advertises WiFi but there is not wifi. When we asked an employee about it (through the glass door because she wouldn’t open it for us) she said “it didn’t work and it was spotty”. We had no cell reception and there was absolutely NOTHING to do in the town or surrounding towns. You had to drive everywhere for any activity on the grounds, everything was too spread out to be enjoyable especially with kids. They have signs EVERYWHERE about speed limits and how they’ll kick you out if you don’t follow the speed limits (which is perfectly fine) but we were almost hit three times but their own employees definitely NOT following their own rules. They also charge per person per campsite which to me is absurd. How is my child costing you an extra $20/night?! They also close the gates after 11. If there is an emergency and we are paying for a site we shouldn’t be locked out. We will not be back.

We came for a group float/kayak trip. It wasn't shared with us until launch that we could only do 5 miles since we were combined types (miscommunication 1). The employee shared a general idea of what to expect and where to stop. We got on the river and a while in, looked for the places described, maybe like a sign of some sort? No. (miscommunication 2). The kayakers left the floaters far behind and were quickly at the pick up spot. We got out to talk and to eat lunch, since we hadn't found any other place to stop. They immediately tried to take the boats. We explained that we were just eating and several were going to go back upstream to see if we could find the others. We were told they couldn't drive us back ip. (No one asked for that). They left and a few of us launched. He came back and demanded that we call them back. I tried to ask that if we oaid for a trip from 9am to 6pm so why couldn't we go back up a ways? We were told no. That would be a 'free' float. (Miscommunication 3) Apparently, if you get out at the pick up point, you're done. So we had to sit at one picnic table, with the porta potty about 1,000 yards away, up a hill. Our group showed up about 3 hours later and we all were bused back. I got in my car and looked for an exit indication. I had no cell signal at all and recall hoping for some sort of signage after Bourbon, MO on the drive in...(miscommunication 4 there were NO signs). There were no exit signs! Signs for all kinds of things ON property but nothing on how to leave! Some idea that you were heading the right way to Bourbon would have been helpful (miscommunication 5). Hmmmm it COULD have been a much better experience!

Stayed for years 20+ WAS amazing place and excellent customer care. BEWARE Unfortunately, New owners purchased Blue springs and Ozark Outdoors . Everything out sourced. Cabins dirty and no one to contact for assistance. It now allows 4 wheelers and they share beach area with other resort. When checked in with large group all they kept asking if OTHER people to get extra fees. I didn't book so how would I know the amount. Very rude and only concerned about $$$$ The cabins maybe old but everything worked and was clean and peaceful prior to new ownership.

We did a canoe and float trip. The girls at the main office were great, our bus driver to the launch site was awesome, and the guys help with the launch did a good job. Highly recommend.

We stayed 2 nights in a 2 beedroom cabin.Cabin was clean .The kitchen was well equipped for your cooking needs. Only thing I suggest is updating the bedrooms with bigger and better beds with decorative picture to brighten up the room ( looks old ).Other than that it 's nice .The workers are nice and helpful. We went horse back riding and it was fun .Their store has good items in there but a little pricey and activities are a little pricey too.Over all a nice camping grounds .

Spent the weekend in Cabin 21 for bachelorette weekend. It was a fun time! The staff to checkin were patient and took their time. Maintenance even popped by to check on the private pool. Only downfall was seeing a fly trap on the kitchen, but it did it's job bc there really weren't flies! I would just recommend updating website bc the cabins don't fill list all the amenities (much more than what we realized). We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

Nice little spot close to home. We stayed in an electric site by the office. Not much real estate between you and your neighbors. Not the end of the world by any means.

I was very disappointed, I've stayed at Ozark outdoors and garrisons as well this summer and blue springs is the ONLY place i had a issue. When we checked in there was 50 dollars in hidden fees because we had ONE extra person on our camp site that was already paid for.... Then we got no directions finding our campsite, no map. Once found the set up was ok and the spot was ok. Woke up the next morning and tried to take a shower, but the shower houses had NO hot water. So now this electric campsite I've spent 150 bucks for with all the hidden fees for two nights and can't even take a hot shower. THEN we leave to do our float. They forgot our raft ! So half of our party decided to float down while my family was stuck standing for 30 min while we wait for our raft that cost 230 bucks after taxes ( 6 man) They also offer zip lining everywhere its advertised on everything. Bill boards the door when you walk in and guess what, yep they don't have that anymore. The customer service was not great. I have a 7 year old autistic son and in the gift shop they treated him like everything he touched was going to steal. We paid for two nights but after the first night was so frustrated and disappointed left.

This is our 5th year staying here and our 2nd a cabin and I’m actually surprised at how clean the cabins are. They might not look the prettiest but they were clean for what they are. Didn’t see a single bug in the cabin so very happy about that! We brought our own bedding to put over the bedding they provide so not sure how the sheets looked. Overall it’s better than sleeping in a tent. Air worked, bathrooms were good, kitchen appliances were decent. We will definitely stay in a cabin again next year. It was very unfortunate that we didn’t get to the water because everything was flooded but that’s Mother Nature and out of their control. We had friends in another cabin that were satisfied and said they will stay again next year.I would suggest keeping your children close to you!My only complaint is the way people drive. It’s like a racetrack. I wouldn’t feel comfortable allowing my children to even ride a bike there. There were very intoxicated people driving through the camp grounds anemone of them was a couple cabins from us but nothing anyone can do because there’s no policing. In my opinion there are way too many cars on the roads traveling way too fast over the hills to allow kids drive golf carts, bikes, skateboards or other toys on the roads.
