My family stopped by GameStop this past weekend to purchase a new game for our boys (ages 4 & 8). They received a PS5 for Christmas (which we also purchased at GameStop not even 2 weeks earlier). After receiving a little Christmas money from their grandparents they wanted to look into 2 player games so they could play together.There were 2 employees and the one behind the counter helped by showing us the couple of games that he thought would work. My son chose the one he wanted and he was so excited to learn it was a second edition to a game he previously had. He then stood by the counter with the game reading out loud to me and studying the case in excitement while we waited for his dad and brother to come up to the counter from looking at the Nintendo Switch Games.As we are standing there the other employee was hurriedly placing stickers on games and came up to my 8 year old son who had the game in his hand. He said "hey buddy can I see that really quick?" and takes the game from my unsuspecting 8 YEAR OLD'S HANDS. He then places a price sticker for $49.99 on top of the price sticker that was $29.99 and then handed it back to him.I grabbed it immediately after seeing what he had just done and told the other employee who had been helping us. He told me the other guy was in charge of that, and he couldn't do anything about it.I then confronted the employee who then told me that he was supposed to have done that this morning and basically that we were just "out of luck" for his mistake.I realize we hadn't technically purchased the game and that they have the right to change their prices whenever they want... but it's not like we were standing there still deciding. We were standing by the counter ready to pay!!!!I just wanted to let everyone know about our experience and the fact that he TOOK A GAME OUT OF MY CHILD'S HAND to raise the price because he hadn't previously done his job like HE was supposed to.I then called customer service because I literally left the store crying, and gameless, and they proceeded to hang up on me when I asked for the Corporate number.I'm so disappointed in the way we were treated ESPECIALLY when it affects my children!!!I will no longer be giving GameStop my business and will go out of my way to tell people how they treated their customers of many, many years! So disappointing.

My husband and I had a great experience shopping at the Branson location being helped by Jacob. He did a superb job on answering all our questions and acknowledging other incoming customers all at the same time. It is customer service like the one that we received that makes us want to go into a store instead of purchasing online!

Got some joycons for my switch from them that were faulty and they sawpped them out for a new working pair and the guy at the counter was very nice

Went to get a VR headset, but they were out. Friendly staff though so we bought a video game while we were there. Great selection of games.

Employee was very rude and confrontational started arguing with me and wouldn't stop even though I asked him to till I got upset and then he acted like he's throwing me out very unprofessional and would never recommend
