I stopped by earlier this year with a single wheel lock issue on a vehicle I purchased a couple of years ago. I had no idea it wasn’t a normal nut until a flat tire that needed repairing, and to my surprise there wasn’t a wheel lock key. The Mazda dealership couldn't find an alternative solution for the single wheel lock, except for grinding it off, which would have cost over $600. Instead, I decided to try my luck with Speedway Auto since I’d been there before and figured it couldn’t hurt. The staff there was much friendlier, and a highly knowledgeable young man quickly assisted me in just a few minutes, without resorting to using a grinder. It was a simple matter of using a specialty socket set, making it an easy day. After my visit I've decided to bring my car here for future service.

We used to go to this mechanic but we moved out of the neighborhood. We took our car back to them because another place tried to overcharge us for replacing our brakes. What I can say about this place is they are non-corporate and they are not trying to upsell you and rip you off. I would take my car back here and trust them before some corporate place. After several years of not coming here, they were just as honest and now we’re going to go the extra few miles to take our cars to this place from now on.

I asked them to do an overall inspection as I would be putting 2000 miles on the car. Most of them were nice enough but the oldest man was a little standoffish when I tried to explain things to him, kept cutting me off. After a 10 minute inspection, they charged me $65, which other shops did for free. They came back with recommendations of replacing several things including the engine mount and front struts, but told me the front brakes had 30-40% life on them still. I already knew that my front brake pads and rotors needed to be replaced and them telling me they were fine was a bit of a red flag for me, so I took it to another shop and a dealership, who both told me that the struts were fine and the front brakes were worn down to 2-3mm and definitely needed replacing. I ended up getting them replaced at the dealership with OEM parts.Overall, I'm glad I decided to trust my knowledge of my car and get the brakes replaced before I drove a long way on it, and it scares me to think I could have had brake failure in the mountains.

I was in a bind and in need of documentation for the DMV. I called Speedway Automotive, and spoke with Austin who was able to get me in within 10 minutes and out the door within 5. He was fast, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional which I couldn't appreciate more. I will definitely be visiting Speedway Automotive for my future vehicle needs.

I took my Chey Malibu to them over two months ago to fix what I thought was a sensor issue (the engine warning light kept coming on). They debugged the issue and found the sensor to be ok but found an issue with a related part that they replaced and tested the fix. Their pricing was better than two other shops I called and their repair resolved the issue I had.

Speedway Automotive is my first choice for service on my car or van. They value your trust and are excellent at communicating and explaining any needed repairs and how essential and/or immediate they think the repairs are. Highly recommend.

I called ahead to get a quote for oil change and emissions check and they were fair and transparent, in addition I was on a time crunch and they graciously squeezed me in on the same day. Service was very efficient but thorough. The mechanics found a nail in my tire during which had been unaddressed before. They gave me clear and thorough information on what should be done, and how it should be addressed. They also made me feel comfortable and were friendly. I will be coming here for future services! Thank you!

I bought a used 2004 Toyota 4Runner from Tom at Speedway. The rust damage to the frame was much worse than he let on, to the point of being dangerous. The plates that he welded to the frame were booger welded - done very poorly. The vehicle pulled to the left even after new tires and an alignment at a different shop due to the shoddy frame repair. He provided me with a safety and emissions inspection from Speedway upon purchase but I believe this was falsified - I took the vehicle to Parker’s Automotive, a shop near my home in Overland, the following day after purchase for an inspection, it passed neither safety nor emissions due to a broken parking brake and multiple failed O2 sensors. Less than 24hrs after purchase, the CEL and multiple traction control related lights were illuminated. The codes were obviously cleared before purchase. Tom was not honest in his evaluation of the vehicle he sold me and I paid the financial consequences because when I sold the vehicle, I was honest with the next buyer and took a loss. I will never use Speedway for any of my automotive needs and will encourage my friends and neighbors to avoid them as well.
