I booked an impromptu “root touch-up” appointment yesterday. Right off the bat, Mason was so warm and welcoming. I have a full head of highlights with a lot of regrowth at the roots and some grey mixed in. We discussed what I was hoping to achieve, and he made it happen. I absolutely LOVE the results, Mason!!!!

The first picture is what I went into the salon with. I have a really bright blonde accent piece and I just wanted the accent piece to have the Root touched up. The second Picture Is the inspiration picture. I wanted the whole accent piece to be really white.. The last two pictures are what I walked out with… I was so upset and let my stylist know that I didn’t like it at all. It looked extremely dark, and I hated it. I let her know that it came out way darker than the inspiration picture I had showed her. The only thing they could do for me was they told me to go Buy a clarifying shampoo and wash it multiple times and it should be the color of the inspiration picture if I wash it multiple times… So not only did I have to pay for a hair service that was nothing like what I wanted. I also had to spend additional money to come back and wash my hair multiple times tonight To hopefully make it not look so dark. Honestly, I’m just really upset and I tried to Let it be known that I really did not like my hair at all… The fact that the only thing they could do for me was have me spend more money so I can try and fix it. Myself was honestly just a lot and I’m just very disappointed.. you would think if this was something I have to pay more money for and go home and fix they would at least provide the clarifying shampoo to fix it

I couldn't find what I was looking for since the store is so huge, and everyone was really lovely and didn't give up until they found the two products that I was looking for. At the cashier they were also very nice. The store is super neat, everything is in order and clean, and with a great variety of products and price ranges. I will definitely go back here whenever I need anything :)

This is some of the worst service I’ve received while in the store. I’m clearly looking lost and no associate has helped? I even asked one of the associates where a cosmetic was and he just pointed and said “there might be some over there”. That’s the only response I get? I wasn’t greeted when I walked in the store and there were 3 associates, one stocking, one at the register and one somewhere around the store. The person looking over inventory couldn’t be bothered to help or say anything to me when I walked up and down the aisles. I’ll stick to online orders instead of coming in the store.

Today I did not have the best experience. Walked in and was not greeted properly. Then I asked for help by a sales associate named "Sasha"...white male with glasses, wore a red lip possibly transgender, the best I can describe. Sasha was rude and disrespectful when I asked about a concealer color. Lied to my face and infront of another customer in regard to the color. Rolled their eyes and walked off as they greeted Caucasian customers kindly. The Caucasian customers were in disbelief that "Sasha" was dismissive and rude towards me and not to them. I had to ask another sales associate who was of my ethnicity to help me. I witnessed Sasha do it to another woman of color. I use to work at Ulta years ago and I never discriminated against people. I helped them no matter what. Ulta I cannot believe this is who you have working in your stores now. Someone like Sasha should be coached and retrained on discrimination and race especially since they are apart of a "community".

I do not like this location at all. Very rude towards black customers. You are not even acknowledged but followed around. Two white ladies came in and they were greeted and I walked in right behind them and the sales girl stared then follows me around the store. The cashier short changed me $5 and then acted like I was lying. These young kids don't know how to count change and she just walked off. Keep the money because you lost a customer but I'm sure you could care a less anyway.

Knowledgeable staff who are friendly and attentive. Checkout was a little wait but lots of travel size stuff to keep you busy while you wait.

I had a traumatic experience from this store about 1-2 years ago. I am able to write about it now. I have boycott all ulta stores due to this experience because it left a very bad memory. I had a $30 gift card charged on my credit card which I never bought. I found out about this charge error after I got home and checked my receipt. So I returned the next day and asked for a correction. They told me that they do not refund gift card and asked me to call customer service. I told them I did not buy the gift card and I don't have the gift card so I want my money back. Why should I call customer service when they have a brick and mortar store to settle this issue. Why should I stay on a call when their employee was the one who made the mistake? I felt that they were treating me unfairly like as if I tried to scam them for $30. I told my husband I didn't care about the $30 anymore and I didn't want to return to the store for the third time or call customer service to deal with this issue. My husband went in the store and demanded that they review their surveillance video to prove that I did not buy the gift card because at this point it wasn't about the money, it was about our principle. The video showed I did not buy the gift card and they returned my money. Finally! After all the drama and driving back and forth. They didn't tell me exactly what happened. Here's my advice, remember to check your receipt before you leave the store. It was my fault to trust the store. Nevertheless, the hassle that I had to went through to get my $30 back was a painful experience. The store supervisor apologized to me and promised to send me a gift coupon but I never received it. I would never go to any ulta store or online and spend thousands of dollars there anymore. Goodbye Ulta and hello Sephora. I would give Ulta a zero star if there is an option.One more advice to Ulta if the HQ customer service department is reading this review, please train your store supervisors properly on how to handle customer service issues fairly and efficiently. I should not have to beg for my $30 back and my husband shouldn't have to demand you to review the surveillance video.

The stylist did a great job on my hair! Mason was able to cut my hair in layers and styled them to look just like the picture I showed him.
