I know it's a small Walmart but they try real hard to carry alot of stuff. Depends on what you want, the store manager will get it for you. They really do try. I appreciate that. I have given 5 starts now from 3 stars. They gained stars for the service and products. UPDATE 7/22/25 And i can say that walmart is still all 5 stars.

For the most part, it can be a great place to pick common things up quickly.
Their discount isle cannot compare to other Walmarts though. I wish they would visit another store to see and be trained in said discounts.
The people at the front desk should not be so, "It's not my job" and more "We are a team".
One special check-out lane has the kindest, quickest, knowledgeable person!! I am sure I am not the only one who knows who she is.

Review for out-of-towners needing to buy items:
To summarize it's good, but it's not great. Firstly, it's a Walmart so the bar is already at a certain level, but the small size of it helps work to its advantage since the staff tend to be a bit nicer from the lowered stress of not working in a supercenter. The size does bring it's own cons however as this creates a limited variety. While there are plenty of canned and shelf-stable foods, if you need fresh produce either go to Woods or Cash Saver or a different town entirely (Bolivar may be good due to their supercenter). But they do have occasional items like watermelons in the summer along with a recently installed bakery section with a few good items to choose from. Due to its location though items tend to be a bit cheaper than if you were going to a supercenter in Lake of the Ozarks. Speaking of LotO, if you are driving there for a summer vacation or anything like that and need to stop somewhere to get food and supplies, this one works pretty well as an option. The variety is decent enough, and it's just roughly an hour drive so if you have the AC going in your car, any cold items will be fine. I used to commute between Buffalo and Lake of the Ozarks for work and items like my lunch would still be cold while I was getting there, so a bunch of things like milk and eggs and pizza clustered together will do fine.
In short, for a tiny Walmart they do good with the space they have and have an alright staff because of it. If you need produce like vegetables go somewhere else because they do not have any. Good choice for getting things while on a trip. Kind of a fun little gimmick due to its size. Also no self-checkouts idk what that one guy is on about with saying they used to have them this place has never had self-checkouts.

It's Walmart, what can you say? It has plenty of self-checkouts, but I hear management is planning to reduce the number of those or eliminating them. Reducing the number of them will create long
lines and there goes the convenience! If you've been in one, you've all of them. Managers march to orders from Bentoville. Sam has been in his grave for 32 years, but his family calls the shots. It is what it is.
