“We did not stay at the hotel but we stopped at the bar. The waitress was very friendly and the drinks were cheap. You can smoke inside though, and the smell was quite overwhelming.”
“Great location, room was great, very elegant and had everything we needed to prepare meals. Mini golf and pool were nice. We liked the shuffleboard and pickle ball too. Staff is very friendly. They allow pets, including my cat which is great since I can't leave my baby alone or with someone else. I would stay there again. Even though they don't have elevators, I would pick a top floor so we would have a better view.”

“A Perfect Weekend Getaway—Peaceful, Spacious, and Full of Fun
Our family had an unforgettable weekend at Shoalnook, we can’t recommend it highly enough. From the peaceful surroundings to the thoughtful touches throughout the cabin, everything about our stay made it easy to relax and connect as a family.
The cabin we stayed in was spacious, clean, and comfortable—plenty of room for our family of four, including two teenagers. We loved the open kitchen and living area, which gave us space to hang out, cook, and unwind. The beds were great, the views were beautiful, and the quiet atmosphere was just what we needed.
One of the highlights was floating the James River—Shoalnook provides kayaks, which made it easy and fun to enjoy the water together. We also spent time exploring the nearby hiking trails, which added a nice bit of adventure to our trip.
What makes Shoal Nook especially unique is that it's not just for small family getaways. The property also includes multiple cabins that can be rented together for large gatherings like family reunions or church retreats. It’s an ideal setup if you're looking for a peaceful, affordable place to bring a bigger group without sacrificing comfort or quality.
The host clearly put a lot of heart into this place, and it shows. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already talking about when we can return—maybe with more of our extended family next time.”

“Right now doing remodeling.
Putting in a restaurant but they are renting a few rooms right now.
And the wild life out back is so cool to me.
Deer racoons and baby racoons got to love them there so cute.
I love this place and they have a pool.”
“When we first got to Branson we went to their previous location only to find it closed. We were heartbroken, but found that they had recently moved to a new (and better) location. While the location changed, the quality of food served hadn't. Great breakfasts and great prices, but be hungry, the portions are large.”

“Flat Creek Lodge is absolutely amazing and so clean. The views of the lake are gorgeous. The access to the dock is super close. We will definitely be back. The staff was so kind, friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant is top notch, and the quality and servings are large.”
