Stopped in last Saturday morning before work, had to deposit $80 in quarters Id been saving up for a while. Of course, their coin counting machine was out of order. The girl behind the counter was clearly not happy and insisted I package all the quarters into paper tubes myself because it's apparently on me to make up for the fact that that they can't keep their coin counting machine in working order?? I tried to explain to her that I had to get to work and did not have time to do that. But she didn't care and was essentially useless at helping due to her ridiculous long fake nails. And whenever other customers came in she brushed me off to help them instead of finishing my transaction first. So I was late to work and am really tempted to bank somewhere else. This felt really rude and was a very frustrating experience.

This bank is GREEDY and not what you would expect from a small business and locally owned bank. I think they have only gotten worse over the years. They do not care about the community or their customers. They are incredibly quick to assess overdraft fees, claim they only have the authority to waive them as a ONE-TIME COURTESY and even then, they meet one random day a week as a committee to discuss whether or not they will waive them.
My girlfriend gets paid once every two weeks and she’s used to being paid weekly. She lives paycheck to paycheck like the majority of us. Her card was compromised for an unauthorized $300 purchase that unfortunately put her account in the negative. It has taken them TWO WEEKS to finally credit the money back to her after she reported it the moment she saw it. They gave her the same story about not guaranteeing to waive the overdraft fees and have now hit her with multiple overdraft fees before her pay date NEXT Friday.
She has to fill out a new form for every overdraft they assess and they act like they are doing her a favor to do the right thing and protect her assets from fraud. Since we split a lot of the bills, my account has also gotten lower than I intend to keep it because they have kept her account in the negative since her last pay day pretty much and I had to a string of smaller bills that she was going to pay.
After banking with them since 2008, I am going to switch banks because I will not support a “small business” that thrives on taking advantage of their customers and pretending they are doing us a favor. $30 overdraft fees should be CRIMINAL to begin with. Especially when tacked onto a legit criminal offense of compromising someone’s card. They probably charged her $5 for a new card too but I don’t have access to her account to see exactly how badly they have treated her after a financial inconvenience anyway. I have been meticulous enough balancing budgets and it was only after unawareness to being enrolled in automatic yearly renewal that I have had an overdraft in recent years, but even then, they made me feel guilty for making a mistake and told me the same story about meeting once a week but they don’t even plan what day they will be meeting ahead of time so you have an idea when you can expect a decision while you’re already stressing. I just can’t imagine if someone had purchased something larger and she were only paid once monthly like some. They would have tried to take her for HUNDREDS of dollars in overdraft fees with no grasp on reality.
Couple that with the fact that their transaction processing speeds seem slow anyway and it takes days for charges and credits to officially post at times, it is hard enough to manage your finances but I have grown accustomed to it. The app and online banking seems to be down a lot over the last couple of years so that makes it even harder for people to plan their finances than it probably should be. The bank sets people up to fail and then doesn’t back them when they should.
I don’t know why it is such a big deal for banks to charge multiple overdraft fees or why they can’t put overdraft protection on your account to keep them from piling up while you are waiting to get paid again when you have already alerted them you have been the victim of debit card fraud.

Absolutely recommend them, I own an business and they are great to work with. Competitive rates, great customer service, Billy Puckett is my commercial lender and he is on top of everything. They also have everything a larger bank has but the benefits of a small bank as well.

Do not use this bank. I have been using them for 4 years, and they are a nightmare to deal with. Their app is horrible and is not nearly as robust as a banking app should be. It does not keep your accounts and purchases up to date, and because of this it has charged me hundreds of dollars in overdraft fees when I was never actually overdrafted. Unless you want a bank that literally steals money from you, I would recommend you take your business elsewhere.

Worst customer service of any banking establishment I've had business with! Unprofessional loan officer is totally unresponsive to customer inquiries... doesn't answer the phone, doesn't return phone calls or reply promptly to email. Promises to have documentation to the title company on a Friday then fails to fulfill that commitment but doesn't inform any clients so scheduled days off from work to be at closing have to be rearranged. Pathetic.

Your hours shouldn’t say “open til 6” if you close at 4. You need to be more specific on when you close your lobby.

I have more issues with my debit card with this bank than any other banking institution I use. Disappointing customer service and a great deal of hassle involved. I highly recommend seeking a different banking institution unless you enjoy a great deal of difficulty with someone as simple as using your debit card. Big thumbs down.
