Just a place we ALL need. There's a real warmth that will captivate you when you see these youngins playin. I guess maybe I'm biased, but this is anamazing place!

This gymnasium is located across the street from the elementary school in town. I really enjoy the smell of an old wood floor gym! You can tell the place has some age on it but in this case it just adds character. There is a concession stand out in the fourier. The seats are wood as well in the bleachers.

From Carterville Community Center
Rent a piece of local history! The Carterville Community Center and Gym was built in 1954 for the Carterville High School. It has hosted concerts, dances, sporting events and even donkey basketball. The original maple basketball court provides over 5,500 square feet of floor space perfect for small conventions, art shows, sports, dances and festivals. The large concession area offers a stove, refrigerator, deep freeze, coffee machines and drink dispensers perfect for a banquet or family gathering. Café table seating throughout the large hallways are perfect for concessions or additional seating for family events. The Community Room seats approximately 30 people with convenient access to the kitchen.
