“i initially entered its doors to purchase a tree made of dollars, but i read the sign wrong. That was over 20 years ago. And it was the best mistake of my life.They should rename it five quarters or twelve dimes one Nickle, or a hundred twenty five pennies for your thought. My thought is, how much am I gonna spend? Sometimes it's just under 20 dollars, sometimes it's 67 but the most has been over 100. And you know what!? I'm never let down, and I never give up! But I always get my receipt and I put my cart back. So thank you, creator of the dollar tree. I bet his name is Thomas. Tip for more purchase power- always keep a good tune coming from the ceiling. If you're singing, the cashier's ringing. One day I'll be brave enough to eat the steak but that day has not come. I'd also like to give a shout out to whoever stocks the cleaning supplies-- You're a gem. I'll never buy a paper plate or party streamers from another store, and I guarantee it. Ok I'm getting paid my word right?”
“Clean store. Fully stocked shelves. Personable Friendly staff. Always welcoming to their store. Shelves stay stocked and endless supply of everything. Your always getting more items due to the store never runs out of inventory. Best store in the Lou!!!!”
“First time at this location. Was happy to see that this was a good size store. I came for two things and left with four. They had everything I needed plus more. My friend came for nothing, and left with probably seven things. That's the thing about the dollar tree. You just can't leave without buying something. It's a great place to get a greeting card, they have a good selection of some for a dollar or some for two for a dollar”
“The best DT in our area. Staff is kind and store is always stocked. When the lines get backed up, cashiers are able to call for another cashier to open. Great job whoever is managing this place.”
“Although the prices have gone up to $1.25-$5.00, the value can't be beat. If you're a smart shopper you can score some awesome deals. Just remember that often times you get what you pay for. Other times the deals can't be beat. Just shop wisely.”

“Great products and store is well stocked. I like this Dollar Tree in particular because it's the only store that carries the miniature party forks and spoons and party glasses and dishes. These items are important. Keep the shelves filled with the supplies. Great job Dollar Tree!. Fantastic employees!!!”
“Today, March 15, 2024. I called this store location for a special request that was not showing on Instacart for me to order. I spoke to a customer assistant named Megan. She was so helpful, kind, accommodating, and professional when I asked her to help me out. She is a great asset to the store, and made my experience a pleasant one. I will drive past two Dollar Trees in the future just to shop at this one.”
“Very clean and well organized. Shelves are fully stocked which made getting in and out pretty easy. Cashiers were friendly and check out was made quick. Pretty impressive for a Saturday and only one cashier. Maderia did a good job keeping the line moving.”
“I live up the street from here. Soon as you walk in your greeted by the cashier, but you start thinking she’s only saying hi to read you if you might steal . When you walk around they leave you alone and let you shop. I buy clothes in there for cheap that look nice . Mostly families shop there so it’s no hood ghetto activity for the most part. It’s never crowded so you do have a peace of mind”

“This is a larger store with wider aisles so shoppers can easily pass each other. Ther inventory is pretty typical of the goods at other Dollar Trees. This DT also has refrigerated and frozen foods. This location must get a lot of traffic because the inventory was a mess on a Saturday afternoon, making it difficult to find some items. Presumably to prevent "walk away" carts, each has a tall pole attached so it doesn't t go outside.”
“I love this Dollar General...the workers and kind helpful not in the "I have to help way,but in the "I want to help way...store is well stocked..clean..great music..the guy cashier really came thru one day as I was short a dollar he gave it too me..a light-skinned young man...but like I stated The manager and workers are great . “Dollar Tree off Dunn was nice. The employees greeted me when I came in. One asked if I was finding everything alright when I walked down the aisle he was working in and the store was clean. It was clear people shop there with how many people were in the store but it has good up-keeping.”
“I popped in quickly to buy a birthday card and some balloons. Everything was easy to find and the store was tidy and picked up well. I got good service at the register. All in all, I got what I needed from this visit and I would stop in again.”
“This dollar tree is pretty decent. I'm a door tree connoisseur and this is one of the better locations. They are decently stocked everytime I'm in. I'm still a little hurt about dollar tree raising all their prices to $1.25 and that's the only reason for the 4 star rating.”
“This Dollar Tree is mid-size and carries a lot of inventory. Most of the items are $1.25, with the exception of the dollar plus section where items are $3 or $5. Sunglasses are $1.50. This location had items I have not seen at other DTs, like colored extension cords and T-rex tape cutter. When the lines got long, they had 2 cashiers working that shortened the wait time at checkout. “This location was one of the best places I have been in. It looked new, polished floors, everything in its place.
The clerk, Chase, answered my questions about the phone charger and I bought it. Works fine.”
“Dollar tree is one of my favorite places to visit for assorted items and crafting needs. The price is now $1.25 for the same things rather than $1 before, but that’s okay as I have adjusted my shopping accordingly. They also have more expensive things now. They have a selection of seasonal items that are worth browsing. I have enjoyed their kids section for crafting needs. The quality of their items can be subpar, and that is reflected in their prices. They have new self checkout options that makes shopping easier there. They have a good selection of kids birthday balloons. The kirkwood location is a clean store and it is always well stocked, i like shopping there. The employee seem friendly.”
“Was very happy with the layout, made it easy to complete my shopping. Wasn't super crowded, pleasant enough staff to get you checked out. Loved their arts and crafts aisle! They have the biggest selection I've seen at a Dollar General! I mean stuff I've never seen at other stores! Make-up/nail section is really decent too. Fairly clean, couple things out of stock I was looking for but all in all great store, great prices, friendly and fast service. Big thumbs up!”
“There was a lady that works there that speaks Jamaican, and she thought that I spoke Jamaican too. I only speak that way because I had a stroke and she made me feel so good about myself and the way that I speak now. Her really lifted me up to smile ?.”
“Place is clean and very well organized for the most part. There were carts in the back hidden that were full of things but it could have been new merchandise they had yet to put out.
The employees were kind and very informative when it came to my mentioning the digital coupons. Seemed the manager was never far and always able to be available for anything needed, big or small, employee or customer.”

They are usually stocked up for the most part, they a small produce section which is nice, and the employees are working, helpful, and not rude from what I can see basing off the few times I have been in there. Hopefully I can keep this same opinion going forward!”

“You can always find great deals at Dollar General. I like going to this location because I think the staff is friendly. I think the manager who works there (I believe he is the manager) has always helped me a great deal every time I've been in. Whether be in needing to check a price or find an item he has been very helpful.”
“I love this store, the prices are good, and one can get most of their shopping done in one place. You have to know when the truck comes for the day before, some of the shelves are sparse. The help are friendly and it's so convenient. They are the neighborhood store for everyone.”

“I was just in the Overland store on Woodson, and I was greeted extremely pleasantly by the cashier on duty. Once I got my items to the check-out, she continued to be extremely friendly and even complimented me on my hat. She did drop my milk, but having worked both the dairy dept. and registers at a chain grocer on the east coast,- all I could do is laugh. I wanted to get her name so I could place it here in the review. I was hoping it was on the receipt, but I have social anxiety, so I was unable to get it off her tag.Give this employee a raise!Making customers feel special is not an easy task, and it's good indicator why self-checkouts are becoming universally despised. You can't get service like that with a kiosk.”
“They have a good selection of garden supplies (not dirt) right now at much cheaper prices than most other options right now. This particular store has a problem with the staff seeming to not pay much attention to the customers. They do have a larger supply of items than they did a few months ago so it's fine to shop there and someone is doing all that stocking shelves. They're short staffed like all stores right now so I do give them kudos for keeping up, so they get a star just for that.”

“This store is so clean and tidy, very nice! It seems to have the main necessities like grocery, health, beauty, first aid, etc. Sells beer, wine and cigarettes as well.”
